Oakdale Bears Banners - Celebrate Every Moment Worth Marking
Whether it's a milestone game, a season highlight, or a run-through on the big day, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners to celebrate Oakdale Bears players and their families. Make the moment one to remember.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner formats. To personalise your banner, provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Nathan Briggs, #13, 100 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner will hold up through every NSW game day in Oakdale.
Two Players, One Banner
Two Bears reaching the same milestone? Our Two Player banner lets you celebrate both players side by side on one banner. Simply supply each player's name, guernsey number, and the milestone they're both hitting for a shared tribute.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Honour 3 to 6 players at once with our Team Banner option. A banner reading "Oakdale Bears - Our Champions" is a perfect centrepiece for your next presentation night or season-end celebration. A memorable tribute the whole club will love.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks that are built to last. Hang them in the Bears clubrooms, a garage, or at home as a lasting tribute to a player's career achievements.
Grand Final Banners
Make your grand final entrance unforgettable with a banner measuring 4.5m or 5.5m, fully customised with your top and bottom text. Get in touch for design guidance and ensure the Oakdale Bears run out with all the presence they deserve.
About Oakdale Bears Football Club
Origins and Club Structure
The Oakdale Bears Football Club is the junior and youth rugby league arm of the Oakdale Workers Rugby League Football Club, one of the prominent clubs in the Macarthur Conference Rugby League (Group 6) competition in New South Wales. The Bears identity is used for junior players competing in the Group 6 Junior Rugby League competition, which provides structured pathways for young players across the southern Macarthur, Wollondilly, and Southern Highlands regions. The senior Oakdale Workers RLFC was founded in 1963 and has been based in Oakdale throughout its history.
Junior Competition
The Oakdale Bears compete in the Group 6 Junior Rugby League competition, which runs alongside the senior Macarthur Conference Rugby League season. Junior competitions in the group provide age-grade pathways from the youngest players through to under-18 level, with successful junior players eligible to progress through to the Oakdale Workers senior grades. The parent club has won two senior Group 6 premierships - in 1993 and 2011 - and the junior program is central to the club's long-term player development strategy.
Home Ground
The Oakdale Bears play their home games at Sid Sharpe Memorial Oval in Oakdale, the same facility used by the Oakdale Workers senior and women's teams. The ground is located on Burragorang Road and serves as the hub for all Oakdale Workers and Oakdale Bears programs throughout the season.
Community and Programs
The Bears' junior program draws players from Oakdale and surrounding communities in the Wollondilly Shire. As part of the broader Oakdale Workers RLFC family - which is also connected to the Oakdale Workers Sport and Recreation Club established in 1953 - the Bears provide a family-friendly entry point to rugby league for young people in one of NSW's most rugby league-passionate regional areas. The Macarthur Conference Rugby League covers a broad area from Marulan in the south to Mount Annan in the north.
Oakdale and Wollondilly
Oakdale is a semi-rural suburb in the Wollondilly Shire of New South Wales, with a population of 2,028 recorded in the 2021 Census. The Wollondilly region has a long tradition of community rugby league, with multiple Group 6 clubs drawing players and supporters from farming and semi-rural communities across the Southern Highlands and Macarthur areas.
The Bears compete in the Group 6 Junior Rugby League and call Sid Sharpe Memorial Oval home. Follow the Oakdale Bears on Instagram for match day photos and junior football highlights throughout the season.

This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.
-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
