Pioneer Eagles Banners - Celebrating Alice Springs' Finest

Whether it's a milestone game, a season award, or a grand final moment, FootyBanners.com is proud to create custom banners for the Pioneer Eagles and their supporters. Honour the moments that matter most in the Red Centre.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner formats. To personalise your banner, provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Tyler Doolan, #9, 100 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner will stand up through the most sweltering Top End afternoon at Traeger Park.

Two Players, One Banner

Two Eagles hitting the same milestone? Our Two Player banner lets you celebrate both players together on one banner. Provide each player's name, guernsey number, and milestone for a dual tribute that the whole club can cheer for.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Honour 3 to 6 players at once with our Team Banner option. A banner reading "Pioneer Eagles - Our Champions" is the perfect run-through piece for your next grand final or end-of-season celebration in Alice Springs.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, our Wall Keepsake Banners are made from thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks that last for years. Display them in the Eagles clubrooms, at home, or in a games room as a permanent testament to a great playing career.

Grand Final Banners

Take the field in unforgettable style with a Grand Final banner measuring 4.5m or 5.5m, fully customised with your top and bottom text. Contact us for design support and ensure the Pioneer Football Club makes the statement it deserves on the biggest day of the year.

About Pioneer Eagles Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Pioneer Football Club was one of the founding clubs of the Central Australian Football League (CAFL) in 1947, making it one of the oldest continuously operating Australian rules football clubs in the Northern Territory. Playing under the nickname the Eagles, Pioneer has been central to football culture in Alice Springs since the competition's inaugural season, when they claimed the very first CAFL premiership by defeating the Federal Demons.

Club History and Premierships

Pioneer is the most successful club in CAFL history, having claimed 33 senior premierships. Their winning years span from 1947 through to 2024, including dominant runs across multiple decades: back-to-back flags in 1947 and 1948, five consecutive titles from 1965 to 1969, and further premierships in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. Recent success includes titles in 2009, 2010, 2022 and 2024. Their fierce rivalry with the Federal Demons has produced some of the CAFL's most memorable grand finals at TIO Traeger Park.

Notable Alumni

Pioneer has been a pathway club for some of the Northern Territory's most celebrated AFL footballers. Michael Long OAM, who played 190 AFL games for Essendon (1989-2001), won two VFL/AFL premierships (1993, 2000) and the 1993 Norm Smith Medal, played for the Pioneers before his AFL career. Darryl White, a Brisbane Lions triple-premiership player (2001, 2002, 2003), also came through the Alice Springs football system with ties to Pioneer. Curtly Hampton, who played AFL football for Greater Western Sydney and Adelaide, is another product of the Central Australian football pathway.

Home Ground

The Eagles play all home games at TIO Traeger Park in Alice Springs, which serves as the home venue for the entire CAFL competition. Traeger Park is the premier football stadium in Central Australia and hosts CAFL home and away fixtures, as well as finals and grand finals. The ground also hosts the annual Ngurratjuta Country Cup (Central Australian Country Cup), which brings together regional and remote community teams each season.

Alice Springs and Central Australia

Alice Springs is the principal town of Central Australia, located in the Northern Territory approximately 1,500 kilometres south of Darwin. The town recorded a population of 25,912 in the 2021 Census, with approximately 20.6 percent of residents identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. Australian rules football has deep roots in Central Australian communities, with the CAFL - established in 1947 - the oldest and most important football league in the region.

The Eagles compete in the Central Australian Football League and call TIO Traeger Park home. Follow the Pioneer Eagles on Instagram for match day photos and club highlights throughout the season.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
