Auskick Football Banners - Celebrate Every Young Star's Big Moment

From a young player's first milestone to a whole team's end-of-season celebration, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners for Auskick programs that make every moment feel special. A personalised banner is the perfect way to reward your budding footballer and create a keepsake memory for the whole family.

Simple to Order

Order a Single Player Banner by providing the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Sam Johnson, #7, 50 Games. Our banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper that holds up through the full season - rain, shine, or a blustery weekend morning at the local ground. Perfect for little champions of all ages.

Two Players, One Banner

Celebrating two young players at the same time? Our Two Player Banner lets you honour both on a single premium banner - just provide both names, guernsey numbers, and their milestone. A great way to reward two best mates on the same day.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Celebrate the whole Auskick squad with a Team Banner featuring 3 to 6 players. Set a fun top-line message like "Auskick Stars - Future Champions" and give every young player something to run through with a huge smile. A perfect end-of-season gift from coaches, parents, and supporters.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks - perfect for a child's bedroom, the garage, or the family games room. A forever reminder of those early footy memories they'll treasure for life.

Available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with fully customised top and bottom text. Contact us for design advice to make your Auskick grand final or presentation day extra special.

About AFL Auskick

Origins and Founding

AFL Auskick is Australia's largest and most successful entry-level Australian rules football program, introduced by the AFL in 1995 to provide young children with a structured, fun, and safe introduction to the game. Designed for children aged 5 to 12, Auskick uses modified rules, smaller balls, and age-appropriate activities to teach the fundamentals of Australian rules football in a non-competitive environment focused entirely on participation and enjoyment.

Program History

Since its launch in 1995, AFL Auskick has grown into a nationally recognised program delivered by AFL and state league clubs, schools, and community organisations across every state and territory. By the early 2000s, hundreds of thousands of children were participating each year. The program is widely credited with driving the growth of AFL participation at the grassroots level and feeding junior club competitions with well-prepared young players. Auskick is administered nationally by the AFL and delivered locally through registered centres attached to community football clubs.

How Auskick Works

Auskick sessions are typically held weekly during the AFL season, either on Saturday mornings or after school. Children practise skills including handballing, kicking, marking, and bouncing in a supportive group environment. Sessions run for approximately 45 minutes and are led by trained volunteer coaches. Many clubs provide each registered child with an Auskick pack including a football, and sessions are designed to be accessible for children with no prior experience of the game.

Community and Programs

AFL Auskick is the primary pathway into junior club football across Australia. Children who complete the Auskick program typically progress into under-8s and under-9s competition through their local AFL or state league club. The program places particular emphasis on inclusivity, gender equity, and cultural diversity, with dedicated programs for girls and modified formats for children with disability. In 2024 more than 225,000 children participated in Auskick centres across Australia.

Auskick Banners

Milestone banners are a beloved tradition in Australian rules football, and Auskick is no different. Whether it is a child's first game, their 10th session, or a special round, a custom Footy Banners Auskick banner makes the moment memorable. Banners can be personalised with the child's name, guernsey number, and the number of games or sessions completed, creating a keepsake that families treasure long after the season ends.

AFL Auskick centres can be found across Australia at afl.com.au/auskick. For banner orders, visit footybanners.com for all sizes and options.

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
