Bilambil Jets Banners - A Century of Tweed Valley Rugby League Pride
Since 1923, the Bilambil Jets RLFC has been part of the heart and soul of rugby league in the Tweed Valley, and FootyBanners.com is here to help the Jets celebrate every milestone with a custom banner built to match the occasion.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options and send through the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone (for example, Dean Cassidy, #7, 150 Games). Banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper that holds up through a humid NSW coastal afternoon at the ground.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Jets players share a milestone in the same match, our Two Player banner is the ideal way to honour them both in a single striking design. Provide both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll take it from there.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Honouring a group of 3 to 6 players at the same time? Our Team Banner option brings everyone together in one powerful design. Set a top-line message like "Fly Jets Fly!" and send the group running through in style.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are produced on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A quality keepsake for the Jets clubrooms or a proud display in a supporter's home.
Grand Final Banners
When the Jets are in the hunt for the title, back them all the way with a Grand Final banner in 4.5m or 5.5m. The top and bottom text is fully customised for Bilambil Jets Rugby League Club. Contact us early for design and wording support.
About Bilambil Jets Rugby League Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Bilambil Jets Rugby League Football Club was founded in 1923, making it one of the oldest rugby league clubs on the far north coast of New South Wales. The club is a founding member of the Group 18 competition and has been a cornerstone of rugby league in the Tweed region for more than a century. Originally known as the Bilambil-Terranora Lakes Football Club, the Jets represent a community embedded in the lush Bilambil valley near the Queensland border.
Club History
The Jets established themselves as a powerful force in Group 18 rugby league during the 1980s and early 1990s, winning four premierships under the Bilambil-Terranora Lakes name: back-to-back titles in 1980 and 1982, and consecutive championships again in 1992 and 1993. Following the dissolution of the joint Gold Coast-Group 18 competition in 2004, the Jets joined the newly formed Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League (NRRRL) competition in 2005 alongside clubs from across northern NSW.
The club's most celebrated recent achievement came in 2022, when the Jets claimed the NRRRL First Grade premiership with a 30-18 victory over the Evans Head Bombers in the grand final - the club's first top-grade title in nearly three decades. They again featured in the 2024 grand final, ultimately going down 10-16 to the Ballina Seagulls in a hard-fought decider.
Home Ground
The Jets play their home matches at Bilambil East Sports Field, set in the heart of the Bilambil valley in far north-eastern NSW. The ground is a beloved local venue that has hosted Group 18 and NRRRL competition football for decades, drawing supporters from across the Tweed region to cheer on the Jets.
Community and Programs
The Bilambil Jets field four senior and youth sides in the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League competition: First Grade, Reserve Grade, Under 18s, and a Ladies League Tag team. The club places a strong emphasis on developing local talent and providing a welcoming environment for players at all levels of the game. The junior development pathway is a core part of the club's identity, with players from the Tweed region regularly progressing into the senior ranks.
Bilambil, New South Wales
Bilambil is a small town in the Tweed Shire of north-eastern New South Wales, located approximately 106 kilometres south-south-east of Brisbane and within the broader Tweed region. The area's traditional owners are the Ngandowal and Minyungbal speaking peoples of the Bundjalung Nation. At the 2021 Australian census, Bilambil recorded a population of 441 people. The town sits within one of Australia's most scenic border regions, surrounded by the Tweed Valley's rolling hills and farmland.
The Jets compete in the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League and call Bilambil East Sports Field home. Visit the club at bilambiljets.com.au, follow them on Facebook, and stay connected on Instagram.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
