Brothers Banners - Wagga Rugby League Celebrated in Style
Whether it's a player notching up a career milestone or the Brothers heading into a big finals campaign, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners that capture what the Wagga Brothers Rugby League Club is all about.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options and provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone (for example, Ryan Clancy, #12, 100 Games). Banners are produced with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper that holds up through a warm Riverina afternoon at the ground.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Brothers players share the same milestone on the same day, our Two Player banner gets them both on the one design. Provide both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll take care of the rest.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
For groups of 3 to 6 players celebrating together, our Team Banner option covers the whole squad in one strong design. Set a top-line message like "Go Brothers!" and send the whole group running through something to remember.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A great keepsake for the Brothers clubrooms or a display at home to remember a great career at Wagga Brothers.
Grand Final Banners
When the Brothers are playing for the title, step up with a Grand Final banner in 4.5m or 5.5m. Both the top and bottom text are fully customised for Wagga Brothers Rugby League Club. Contact us early for design and wording support ahead of the big day.
About Wagga Brothers Rugby League Club
Origins and Founding
The Wagga Brothers Rugby League Club - known as the Leprechauns - is one of the most successful clubs in Group 9 Rugby League, competing out of East Wagga Wagga in southern New South Wales. The Brothers first entered the Group 9 competition in 1980 and rejoined permanently in 1993, establishing themselves over the following three decades as a powerhouse of Riverina rugby league. Group 9 itself was founded in 1923 and is centred on Wagga Wagga and the surrounding region.
Club History
The Leprechauns have won numerous Group 9 First Grade premierships, including back-to-back titles in 1996 and 1997, and a remarkable run of eight consecutive grand final victories between 2011 and 2019 - one of the most sustained periods of dominance in Group 9 history. The club won the Group 9 First Grade premiership in 1995, 1996, 1997, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, and added another title in 2025, defeating the Gundagai Tigers in the grand final.
The Brothers were runners-up in the Group 9 grand final in 2007, 2008, 2020, and 2024, reflecting their consistent presence at the top of the competition. The club briefly stepped away from First Grade competition for the 2023 season before returning in 2024 and reclaiming the premiership in 2025.
Home Ground
The Brothers play their home matches at Geohex Park in Wagga Wagga, sharing the venue with their local rivals the Wagga Kangaroos. The ground also hosts Group 9 grand finals at McDonald's Park in Wagga Wagga. The club fields teams across multiple grades including First Grade, Reserve Grade, Under 18s, and junior competitions from ages 5 and above.
Community and Programs
The Brothers junior program caters for boys aged 5 to 15 in tackle rugby league and girls aged 5 to 16 in League Tag. The club also fields an Open Women's League Tag team, reflecting a commitment to growing women's participation. The Wagga Brothers are closely aligned with the Estella Storm Women's Tackle team in the Group 9 competition.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
