Simple to Order

Order a Single Player Banner by providing the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Chris Hart, #6, 150 Games. Our banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper built to handle a cold and blustery Melbourne afternoon in the inner west. Durable, vibrant, and ready for the big day.

Two Players, One Banner

Celebrating two Eagles at once? Our Two Player Banner lets you honour both players on a single premium banner - just provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the shared milestone. Double the pride, one outstanding banner.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Bring the whole squad together with a Team Banner featuring 3 to 6 players. Set a top-line message like "Yarraville Seddon Eagles - Pride of the West" and give your team something to fly through with real Eagles spirit. Perfect for a big finals run or season-defining celebration.

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks - perfect for the clubrooms, the garage, or the games room. A lasting reminder of what it means to be a Yarraville Seddon Eagle.

About Yarraville Seddon Eagles Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Yarraville Seddon Eagles Football Club was formed at the end of 2006 through the amalgamation of three clubs from Melbourne's inner western suburbs: the Yarraville Football Club (initially founded as Kingsville Football Club), the Seddon Football Club (also known as Seddon-Yarraville Club Football Club), and Yarraville Juniors (initially founded as Yarraville Boys Club). Each of the founding clubs brought a proud history to the merger, creating one of the Footscray District Football League's most historically rich clubs.

The Kingsville Football Club was a member of the FDFL from 1936, originally based in Roberts Street, Footscray, before relocating to Yarraville Oval in 1990 when the previous Yarraville Football Club ceased operation. Kingsville adopted the Yarraville Football Club name in 1996 and won FDFL Division 1 premierships in 1943, 1964 and 1997. Seddon Football Club, based at Hamner Reserve, competed in the FDFL from 1935 and won five Division 1 premierships in 1950, 1953, 1976, 1991 and 1992. Yarraville Boys Club, later renamed Yarraville Juniors, entered the FDFL in 1968 from Yarraville Oval.

Club History

Since forming in 2007 as the Yarraville Seddon Eagles, the merged club has competed in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA), building on the combined premiership legacy of its founding clubs. The club fields senior men's, women's, and Under-18s teams, as well as an extensive junior program for boys and girls. The Eagles play in green and gold, reflecting the distinctive identity of inner west Melbourne football. The club's Facebook page has grown to over 3,800 followers, reflecting its strong community following across Yarraville, Seddon, Footscray, and surrounding suburbs.

Home Ground

Yarraville Seddon Eagles play at Yarraville Oval, the historic ground in the heart of Yarraville that has hosted football since the early 20th century. The oval sits centrally in the suburb and has been the home ground of senior football in Yarraville for generations, previously hosting both the Yarraville and Kingsville/Yarraville clubs before becoming home to the merged Eagles club from 2007 onwards.

Community and Programs

The Eagles field teams across senior men's and women's football, an Under-18s competition, and junior boys and girls programs, making the club one of the broader Footscray community's most complete football organisations. The club encourages new players and families to join through an active membership recruitment process, and maintains a community focus consistent with the traditions of each of its founding clubs. The Eagles also maintain an online club store and run sponsorship programs to support ongoing club operations.

Yarraville

Yarraville is an inner western suburb of Melbourne, located within the City of Maribyrnong approximately 5 kilometres west of the CBD. The suburb sits on the southern bank of the Maribyrnong River and is bordered by Seddon, Footscray, Spotswood, and Newport. Yarraville is known for its vibrant village-style main street around Anderson Street and the Sun Theatre, one of Australia's best-preserved 1930s single-screen cinemas. The suburb has a strong multicultural character and has seen significant gentrification and population growth since the 2000s while retaining its working-class industrial heritage.

The Eagles compete in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) and call Yarraville Oval home. Visit the club website for more information, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
