Rupertswood Rupo Football Club Banners - Proud Banners for the Rupo Community

At FootyBanners.com, we love helping clubs like Rupertswood Rupo celebrate the players who give everything for the jumper. Whether it's a 50-game debut or a 250-game achievement, our custom banners make every milestone a moment to remember.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner styles. Just provide the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Jake Morrison, #11, 100 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, Rupo banners are built to hold up on even the coldest Melbourne winter morning at Macedon Street.

Two Players, One Banner

Two Rupo players sharing a milestone in the same game? Our Two Player Banner handles both on a single quality banner. Supply both players' names, guernsey numbers, and the milestone and we'll bring it all together.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Got 3 to 6 players all hitting milestones at once? Our Team Banner lets you honour the whole group on one banner. Lead with a message like "Go Rupo - Milestone Day!" and kick off the celebrations in style.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick, recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A fantastic permanent display for the Rupo clubrooms, a player's garage, or their games room at home.

Grand Final Banners

Our Grand Final Banners come in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with fully customised top and bottom text. Contact us for design advice and we'll help the Rupertswood Rupo Football Club run through something truly special.

About Rupertswood Rupo Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Rupertswood Football Netball Club - affectionately known as Rupo - was founded in 1984 with a single Junior Under-16 team named Salesian, reflecting the club's early connection to the Salesian College in Sunbury. According to the club's official history page, what began as a small but passionate group of junior players gradually expanded as the Sunbury township grew and player numbers increased. Over the following decades, RUPO extended its programs to include Senior Football, Auskick, the Football Integration Development Association (FIDA), and Netball, evolving into the fully-fledged Rupertswood Football and Netball Club (RUPO) known today.

Club History

The Rupertswood FNC competed for many years in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA), winning the VAFA Division D4 premiership in 2002 and the VAFA Division D1 premiership in 2009. The senior club also spent time in the Riddell District Football Netball League (RDFNL), winning the RDFNL seniors premiership in 2019. According to the club's Wikipedia page, in 2021 Rupertswood made the significant move to the Essendon District Football League (EDFL), joining the EDFL Division 1 structure. The club currently competes in EDFL Division 2 for men's football. In 2025, Rupo claimed its first piece of senior EDFL silverware in a thrilling three-point victory, marking a major milestone for the club in its new competition.

Home Ground

Rupo plays at the Rupertswood Football Ground, located at 1 Macedon Street, Sunbury VIC 3429. The ground sits within the precinct of Salesian College Sunbury and has been the club's operational base since its earliest days. The facilities at Macedon Street are used for training on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during the season and serve as the venue for all home games and netball matches.

Community and Programs

RUPO operates football and netball programs across multiple age groups and grades - from Auskick and junior football through to senior men's and women's football, FIDA (Football Integration Development Association) football, and senior netball. The club is a volunteer-driven organisation that prides itself on being diverse and inclusive, with a culture centred on acceptance, connection, and community. RUPO also participates in AFL Masters competition through the affiliated AFL Masters Vic Metro structure.

Sunbury

Sunbury is a town located approximately 40 kilometres north-west of Melbourne's CBD in Victoria's outer metropolitan fringe, within the Hume City Council area. The town has a population of approximately 40,000 and is known for its heritage properties, including Rupertswood Mansion - the historic estate where the ashes of the cricket bail that gave rise to "The Ashes" legend were placed. Sunbury is a rapidly growing community as part of Melbourne's northern growth corridor, making it fertile ground for a community club like Rupo to continue building its membership base.

The Sharks compete in the Essendon District Football League and call Rupertswood Football Ground, Sunbury home. Visit the club website for more information, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.

  • Footy Banner Information

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
