About Aveley Avengers Junior Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Aveley Avengers Junior Football Club was founded in 2014 to serve the rapidly growing master-planned community of Aveley in Perth's north-east corridor. The club was established as a grassroots response to the surge in young families moving into the Aveley and Swan Valley area, providing structured Australian rules football for children who would otherwise need to travel to more established clubs. From its first season the Avengers built a reputation as a welcoming, family-oriented club.

Club History
Since inception in 2014 the Aveley Avengers JFC has grown consistently each year. The club is affiliated with the Swan Districts Football Development Council (SDFDC) and competes in the WAAFL junior competitions, providing teams from Auskick through to Youth (Year 12) level. The club's growth mirrors the rapid residential expansion of the Aveley-Brabham corridor, which has brought thousands of young families to the area since the mid-2000s. The Avengers have developed multiple players who have gone on to compete at colts and senior level within the Swan Districts pathway.

Home Ground
The Aveley Avengers play their home games at two grounds: Turkich Parade Oval on Bolero Road in Aveley, and Brabham Oval on Lakefield Drive in Brabham. The use of two grounds reflects the club's expanding program as its number of teams across age groups and genders has grown. Both ovals serve as central community sporting hubs for the new residential communities of Aveley and Brabham.

Community and Programs
The Avengers offer AFL Auskick for the youngest players, progressing through a full suite of junior age groups from under-8s to youth level. The club provides teams for both boys and girls and is committed to growing girls' participation in football in step with WAAFL and AFL developments across Western Australia. The club has strong ties with Aveley Primary School and other local schools, running school holiday clinics and come-and-try events to introduce new players to the game.

Aveley
Aveley is an outer suburb of Perth, Western Australia, situated approximately 30 kilometres north-east of the Perth CBD within the City of Swan local government area. With a population of 13,998 at the 2021 census, Aveley is a master-planned community that developed during the 2000s and 2010s. It has a young demographic with a median age of 31 years, and 81 per cent of households are family households, making it an ideal community for a junior football club.
