From a player's 50th game to a well-earned final, FootyBanners.com designs custom banners that celebrate what it means to pull on the Lions guernsey. Order yours today and make the occasion unforgettable.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner styles. For a player banner, provide the name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, James Smith, #23, 150 Games. All banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper that holds up through any conditions on match day.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Lions players share the same milestone on the same day, our Two Player Banner is the perfect way to honour them both. Provide both names and guernsey numbers and we'll create a quality banner that the whole club can rally behind.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
For 3 to 6 players being celebrated together, our Team Banner covers every name in one great display. Feature a bold top-line message like "Go Lions!" and list every player honoured. A fantastic way to recognise a group achievement at the club.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Display your Lions keepsake in the clubrooms, garage, or games room and keep the memory close long after the final siren.
Grand Final Banners
Available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, our Grand Final Banners feature fully customised top and bottom text to set the atmosphere for the biggest game of the year. Contact us for design advice and let us help HBL Lions Football Club make a lasting impression on grand final day.
About HBL Lions Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Harvey Brunswick Leschenault Football Club, widely known as the HBL Lions, has been a cornerstone of the South West Football League since joining the competition in 1957. The club draws its name and identity from the three communities it represents - Harvey, Brunswick Junction, and Leschenault - in Western Australia's South West region. From its early years, the club built strong roots among the farming and agricultural families of the Harvey area.
Club History
The HBL Lions have claimed nine SWFL premierships: 1960, 1974, 1975, 1990, 1991, 1992, 2007, 2010, and 2019. Their most sustained period of dominance came during the 1970s and early 1980s, when the Lions reached 11 consecutive finals appearances between 1972 and 1982. The club holds impressive all-time records across league, reserves, and colts competitions, with over 1,200 league games played. Sean Mooney holds the record for most games played at the club with 309, while Basil Little set the single-game goal-kicking record with 22 goals against Mines Rovers on 22 August 1976. The Reserves side has also been highly competitive, premiering alongside the League side in 2019 (winning the grand final in extra time). In 2025, the club's Wheelchair Football side claimed its first premiership.
Home Ground
The HBL Lions play their home matches at Brunswick Oval in Brunswick Junction, a farming township approximately 140 kilometres south of Perth. Brunswick Oval serves as the hub for League, Reserves, Colts, and Women's football, providing a focal point for the broader Harvey and Leschenault communities on game day.
Community and Programs
The HBL Lions field four senior sides - League, Reserves, Colts, and Women's - across the South West Football League. The club is actively involved in local community events and has a strong volunteer culture built around its three home communities. The Women's program has grown steadily since its introduction, participating in the SWFL Women's competition.
Harvey and Brunswick Junction
Harvey is a rural town in the South West of Western Australia, located 140 kilometres south of Perth on the South Western Highway. The town had a population of approximately 2,797 and serves as the main service hub for the surrounding Shire of Harvey, which encompasses the farming and dairying communities of Brunswick Junction, Yarloop, Waroona, and Cookernup. The region is known for its dairy production and citrus orchards. Brunswick Junction, home to Brunswick Oval, is a quiet agricultural community within the shire.
The Lions compete in the South West Football League and call Brunswick Oval home. View club details on the SWFL website, and follow them on Instagram for match day updates.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
