Seaford Tigers Banners - Southern Suburbs Football Celebrations Done Right
Whether a Tiger is reaching 100 games or the club is chasing finals glory in Seaford, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners that capture the pride of this passionate community club. Order yours and give your player a day to remember.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner styles. For a player banner, provide the name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Ryan Hughes, #10, 150 Games. All banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper that holds its own through a bitter Melbourne winter day at the footy.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Tigers share the same milestone on game day, our Two Player Banner celebrates them together in one great display. Provide both names and guernsey numbers and we'll produce a quality dual banner for the occasion.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
For 3 to 6 players being honoured together, our Team Banner is the perfect choice. Feature a top-line message like "Go Tigers!" and list every player being celebrated. A brilliant option for a milestone round or an end-of-season night at Seaford.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are produced on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks that won't fade. Hang a Tigers keepsake in the clubrooms, garage, or games room as a lasting reminder of a great season.
Grand Final Banners
Available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with fully customised top and bottom text, our Grand Final Banners are built for the biggest days of the football year. Contact us for design advice and let FootyBanners.com help Seaford Football Netball Club make a powerful statement on grand final day.
About Seaford Tigers
Origins and Founding
The Seaford Football Netball Club, known as the Tigers, was first organised in late 1921, with formation meetings held at Armstrong's Grocery Store, Martins Garage, and Weatherley's Milk Bar in Seaford. From these humble beginnings the club grew into one of the Mornington Peninsula's most storied football institutions. The club competes in the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League (MPNFL) and has expanded to include netball since 2011 and women's football since 2013.
Club History
The Tigers have won 13 MPNFL premierships: 1924, 1926, 1927, 1934, 1951, 1954, 1956, 1970, 1981, 1985, and a remarkable three-peat from 2007 to 2009. The most famous product of Seaford FNC is Robert Harvey, who played 383 games for St Kilda from 1988 to 2008, won the Brownlow Medal twice, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders in VFL/AFL history. Other alumni to reach AFL level include Robert Elphinstone (157 games for St Kilda), Jack Lonie (St Kilda), Aaron Edwards (West Coast, North Melbourne, Richmond), and Marcus Marigliani (Essendon). The club has consistently contributed players to the representative football pathway across generations.
Home Ground
The Tigers play their home games at R.F. Miles Reserve in Seaford, a well-established community ground in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. The ground hosts senior, reserves, and junior fixtures across all grades, as well as the club's netball and women's football programs. R.F. Miles Reserve sits close to Seaford's foreshore and is a well-known gathering point for families from across the peninsula.
Community and Programs
At the end of 2016, Seaford FNC fielded three men's, four netball, and three women's football sides - a reflection of the club's growth into a genuine multi-sport community organisation. Junior development is central to the club's identity, with a strong pathway from the junior section through to the senior grades. The club has a reputation for rebuilding through community and mateship during lean periods, as documented in a well-known profile in The Age in 2010.
Seaford
Seaford is a beachside suburb in Melbourne's south-east, located 36 kilometres from the CBD at the northern entry to the Mornington Peninsula. With a population of approximately 17,215 at the 2021 census, it is a well-established suburban community with direct access to Port Phillip Bay beaches. The suburb is part of the City of Frankston and connects to the Frankston-Flinders line, making it accessible for players and supporters across the southern metropolitan area.
The Tigers compete in the MPNFL and call R.F. Miles Reserve home. Visit the club website, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match-day updates.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
