Rosebery Toorak Hawks Banners - Marking Every Milestone for the Hawks
From a player's first 50 games to a long-serving clubman's milestone appearance, FootyBanners.com creates fully custom banners for the Rosebery Toorak Football Club. Our banners let you celebrate the Hawks moments that matter most - designed and printed just for your occasion.
Simple to Order
Our Single Player Banner is the go-to choice for individual milestones. All we need is the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Sam Williams, #12, 100 Games. Banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper that holds up through even the most bitter Tasmanian winter matchday.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Hawks reach the same milestone, our Two Player Banner is the perfect way to honour them both together. Both players must be celebrating the same game milestone - just send us each player's name, surname, and guernsey number and we'll handle the rest.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Our Team Banner option features 3 to 6 players and is perfect for end-of-season nights, finals recognition, or celebrating a group of club legends. Use a top-line message like "Fly Hawks Fly!" to bring the whole banner together for a standout display at Girdlestone Park.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper using waterproof inks that won't fade over time. Hang them in the clubrooms, garage, or games room as a permanent reminder of a proud Hawks milestone.
Grand Final Banners
Our Grand Final Banners come in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, with fully customised top and bottom text to fire up the Hawks on the biggest day of the season. Get in touch if you'd like design advice - we love helping the Rosebery Toorak Football Club get it just right.
About Rosebery Toorak Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Rosebery Toorak Football Club was formed in 1987 through the merger of two north-west Tasmanian clubs: the Toorak Football Club (known as the Tigers) and the Rosebery Football Club (known as the Saints). The merged club took the nickname Hawks and adopted the name Rosebery-Toorak Football Club. The club traces its heritage to both Rosebery and Toorak, two small communities on Tasmania's rugged west coast that share strong ties to the mining industry. The club counts its history from 1986 and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2026.
Club History
After forming in 1987, the Hawks initially competed in the Western Tasmanian Football Association (WTFA) before making the move to the North Western Football Association (NWFA) in 1990. They quickly established themselves as a force in their new competition, winning back-to-back NWFA premierships in 1998 and 1999. Those two consecutive flags, confirmed in the NWFA's official premiership records, remain the high point in the club's history. As documented by Scoreboard Pressure and referenced in Paul Daffey and Ian Kenins' 2003 book Beyond the Big Sticks, both the Rosebery and Toorak clubs had contested numerous grand finals in the WTFA through the late 1960s and early 1980s, including multiple matches against each other, before merging.
Home Ground
The Hawks play their home games at Rosebery Park Oval in Rosebery, a ground that sits in one of the most distinctive settings in Australian football. As described by Tasmanian football writer Bill Walker, "the ground's right smack in the middle of a rainforest." The oval is surrounded by the dense temperate rainforest characteristic of Tasmania's west coast and sits near the Stitt River. Playing conditions can be challenging - west coast rainfall is among the heaviest in Australia - which has given Rosebery football a reputation for toughness and local character.
Community and Programs
The Rosebery Toorak Football Club plays an important role in keeping community life alive in one of Tasmania's most isolated regions. The club fields senior men's and women's teams and runs community events including its well-attended Boys vs Girls match, which draws players and supporters from across the west coast. The 40th anniversary celebrations in 2026 brought together past players, current members, and local supporters to mark four decades of football in the Rosebery and Toorak communities. The club also commissioned special heritage jumpers for the occasion.
Rosebery
Rosebery is a small mining town on Tasmania's remote west coast, located on the slopes of Mt Black, approximately 130 kilometres south of Burnie. With a population of around 752, it is one of the larger settlements in the west coast region. Gold was first discovered in the Rosebery area in 1893 by prospector Tom McDonald, and the Rosebery Mine - a zinc, lead, copper, silver and gold mine - has operated continuously since 1936. The area is known for its wild weather, dramatic wilderness, and tight-knit community.
The Hawks compete in the North Western Football Association and call Rosebery Park Oval home. Follow the club on Facebook for team news, match results, and club updates.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
