West Perth Football Club Banners - Soar with the Mighty Falcons

FootyBanners.com produces custom-made banners worthy of one of Western Australia's most decorated football clubs. Whether you're celebrating a debut, a 100-game milestone, or a premiership season, our West Perth Falcons banners are crafted to make every moment count for players and supporters alike.

Simple to Order

Ordering a Falcons Single Player Banner couldn't be easier. Just supply the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and the milestone - for example, Jake Wilson, #22, 200 Games. We use permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, built to handle a blazing WA afternoon without fading. Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options for any occasion.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Falcons reach the same career milestone together, our Two Player Banner gives them both the recognition they've earned. Provide both players' names and guernsey numbers along with their shared milestone, and we'll create a quality banner that celebrates them side by side in true West Perth style.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Celebrating a group of standout Falcons? Our Team Banner option covers 3 to 6 players in one bold design. Set the top line with a message like "West Perth Falcons - Best of Season" and close with a powerful team tagline. Perfect for awards nights, season launches, or any major club event.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks that hold their quality for years. Whether your Falcons banner finds a home in the clubrooms, a supporter's living room, or a player's personal space, it's a keepsake worth displaying with pride.

Grand Final Banners

Our Grand Final Banners come in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes and can be fully personalised with your chosen top and bottom text to send the West Perth Football Club onto the ground with maximum intensity. Contact us for design guidance and let's create a run-through banner that fires the Falcons up for the biggest game of the season.

About West Perth Football Club

Origins and Founding

West Perth Football Club is the oldest existing Australian rules football club in Western Australia, with roots tracing to the formation of the Victorian Football Club on 2 May 1885. A series of club mergers and reformations followed over the next six years, culminating in the establishment of West Perth as it is known today at a meeting of footballers on 10 May 1891. The new club was immediately admitted to the WA Football Association (later the WAFL) and won its first premiership in 1897. For most of the twentieth century the club was known as the Cardinals, a reference to its early guernsey description of "blue and cardinals", before adopting the Falcons nickname in 1981. According to Wikipedia, the club is recognised as the oldest continuously operating Australian rules football club in Western Australia.

Club History

West Perth has won 20 WAFL premierships - in 1897, 1899, 1901, 1905, 1932, 1934, 1935, 1941, 1942, 1949, 1951, 1960, 1969, 1971, 1975, 1995, 1999, 2003, 2013, and 2022. The 2022 premiership - a 69-57 victory over Claremont - was the club's most recent flag. West Perth has also produced 12 Sandover Medallists (awarded to the fairest and best player in the WAFL), including the back-to-back awards of Aaron Black in 2014 and Christian Kelly in 1999, and has had players inducted into the WA Football Hall of Fame in large numbers since its establishment in 2004. The club's record attendance at its home ground stands at 52,322 for the 1975 Grand Final against South Fremantle at Subiaco Oval. Among its most celebrated alumni with AFL careers are Graham Farmer (Geelong), Derek Kickett (North Melbourne, Essendon and Sydney Swans), Jack Darling (West Coast), Blake Acres (St Kilda, Fremantle and Carlton), and Mark LeCras (West Coast). In 2022, the club entered the WAFL Women's competition, and in just their third season reached a Preliminary Final.

Home Ground

West Perth played at Leederville Oval from 1915 until 1993, when the club relocated to Joondalup in Perth's northern suburbs. Since 1994, the Falcons have called Arena Joondalup - now known as HIF Health Insurance Oval on Kennedya Drive - their home. The ground has a capacity of 16,000 and sits within the City of Joondalup local government area. In February 2024, the City of Joondalup invited the club to consider a name change to the Joondalup Football Club or Northern Football Club, reflecting their 30-year presence in the area, though no agreement had been reached as of 2025.

Community and Programs

West Perth fields men's and women's senior sides in the WAFL and WAFLW respectively, as well as one of the strongest youth programs in the state. The club's Rogers Cup (Under-19s) side won premierships in 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025, including multiple undefeated seasons. As at mid-2024, the Rogers Cup team had recorded 34 consecutive wins - one of the most remarkable streaks in Australian sporting history at any level. The club's community presence extends to its supporter base across Perth's northern suburbs, drawing players and members from throughout the Joondalup and surrounding areas.

Joondalup

Joondalup is a major satellite city located approximately 26 km north of Perth's central business district, serving as the commercial and administrative hub of the City of Joondalup local government area. It is home to the Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City, Edith Cowan University's main campus, and the HBF Arena aquatic and recreation centre. The suburb is well connected to Perth via the Joondalup train line, which provides regular services to the city. With its extensive retail, education and health infrastructure, Joondalup functions as one of Perth's most significant regional centres and serves a broad catchment area across the northern suburbs.

The Falcons compete in the WAFL and call HIF Health Insurance Oval, Joondalup home. Visit the club website for more information, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
