Woodside Wildcats Banners - Celebrating South Gippsland Milestones

FootyBanners.com helps football and netball families celebrate the games that matter most. Send through the details and we'll design a custom Wildcats banner to mark the occasion properly.

Simple to Order

Choose from a Single Player, Two Player, Team or Grand Final banner, then send through the player's name, surname, guernsey number and milestone, for example Matt Smith, #43, 150 Games. Every banner is printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper, tough enough for a bitter Gippsland winter afternoon at the Rec Reserve.

Two Players, One Banner

Got two Wildcats celebrating the same milestone on the same day? Our Two Player banner brings both names and guernsey numbers together on one quality banner, a great way to mark a shared achievement.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Our Team Banner option features 3 to 6 players on a single banner, ideal for a finals group or a run of milestone games in the one season. A top line such as "Go Woodside Wildcats" sets the tone, with each player's achievement featured below. Get your order in and celebrate the whole squad together.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium and Large sizes, printed on thick, recyclable paper with waterproof inks so they last. Perfect for the clubrooms, the garage or a games room at home, a lasting reminder of a Wildcats milestone.

Grand Final Banners

Heading into finals? Our Grand Final Banners come in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with customised top and bottom text. Get in touch with our team for design advice and we'll help Woodside & District Football Netball Club run out with a banner worth remembering.

About Woodside & District Football Netball Club

Origins and Founding

Football has been played in Woodside since at least 1908, and the Woodside Football Club was among the founding clubs when the Alberton Football Association was reformed in 1946. Woodside enjoyed the most dominant spell in the competition’s history, winning six consecutive premierships from 1947 to 1952, a feat no other club in the league has matched, as recorded on Wikipedia’s history of the Alberton Football Netball League.

Club History

Woodside later became part of the composite DWWWW club before breaking away in 2008 to form Woodside & District Wildcats and join the North Gippsland Football League. After years of near misses, the Wildcats broke through for back-to-back premierships in 2024 and 2025. In 2025, club stalwart Ben Johnson played his 200th senior game for the Wildcats, a milestone the club celebrated as a reflection of the loyalty behind its recent success.

Home Ground

The Wildcats play home matches at the Woodside Recreation Reserve in Woodside, the town the club has represented since football began there in the early 1900s.

Community and Programs

Woodside & District Football Netball Club fields football and netball teams for the local community each season, with membership, events and merchandise all available to sign up for through the club website.

Woodside

Woodside is a small town in Victoria’s Shire of Wellington, about 226 kilometres east of Melbourne and 22 kilometres east of Yarram, with a population of 364 recorded at the 2016 census. The town sits in Gippsland farming country and gives its name to the nearby Woodside Beach.

The Wildcats compete in the North Gippsland Football League and call the Woodside Recreation Reserve home. Visit the club website, follow along on Facebook, and follow on Instagram for match-day updates.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
