About South Mandurah Football & Netball Club
Origins and Founding
South Mandurah Football & Netball Club was established in 1982, playing in the Metropolitan Football League before the competition was reshaped into the Peel Football League in 1992. The Peel Football League was formed when Metropolitan Football League clubs, including South Mandurah, broke away from the Sunday Football League and combined with Mandurah and Belmont to establish the new competition, of which South Mandurah has been a foundation club ever since.
 
Club History
The Falcons claimed their first Peel Football and Netball League premiership in 1998 and have gone on to add flags in 2006, 2008, 2015, 2021 and 2025, giving the club six league premierships overall, one of the strongest records in the competition’s history, as recorded by the Peel Football League. The 2025 premiership was the club’s most recent success, with South Mandurah’s own Facebook page marking the season as its 2025 PFNL Champion Club campaign.
 
Home Ground
The club is based at Falcon Oval on Lynda Street in Falcon, sharing the venue with its netball teams and hosting home matches for its League, Reserves and Colts football sides.
 
Community and Programs
South Mandurah fields Men’s football across League, Reserves and Colts grades and a Women’s football team, alongside netball across League, Reserves, Opens and Under 21s grades, making the club one of the broader sporting hubs of the Peel region.
 
Falcon
Falcon is a southern suburb of Mandurah in Western Australia’s Peel region, within the City of Mandurah, with a population of 5,531 recorded at the 2021 census. Originally known as Miami, the suburb was renamed after Falcon Bay in 1967 and remains home to both the senior Falcons club and its junior counterpart, South Mandurah Junior Football Club.
