Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner styles. Provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Marcus Reid, #22, 200 Games. Balwyn Tigers banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, built to endure even the most biting Melbourne winter at Balwyn Park.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Tigers players hit the same milestone in the same game, our Two Player banner brings both celebrations together in one quality keepsake. Supply each player's name, guernsey number, and the shared milestone for a banner they'll both be proud to frame.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Celebrate 3 to 6 players with our Team Banner option - ideal for group milestones or end-of-season tributes. A top-line message like "Balwyn Tigers - Premiers" sets the scene for a celebration the whole club will remember. Go the Tigers!

About Balwyn Tigers
Origins and Founding
The Balwyn Football Club was founded in 1909 in the eastern Melbourne suburb of Balwyn, Victoria. Football was played informally in local paddocks until 1910, when Camberwell Council developed farmland into what became Balwyn Park. In 1917 the first Balwyn team - believed to be an Under 19 side - entered the Reporter District Football League. The senior team played its first game in May 1922 and in 1926 finished runners-up to Auburn in the Reporter District League. In 1927 Balwyn was admitted to the VFL Sub-district Competition and won the club's first premiership that same year, defeating Middle Park. In 1932 Balwyn became a founding member of the Eastern Suburban Football League.
Club History
The Tigers won Eastern Suburban Football League flags in 1933 and 1934, then reformed in 1946 and briefly joined the VAFA before returning to the ESFL in 1956. When the South East Suburban League formed in 1963 through a merger of the Caulfield-Oakleigh and Eastern Suburban leagues, Balwyn was a founding member. After two grand final losses in the 1970s, Balwyn ended a 55-year drought with a 1989 premiership over Oakleigh Districts. The club then dominated the Southern Football League, winning titles in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003, and 2005. Balwyn joined the Eastern Football League in 2007 and won the flag in 2008 under coach Daniel Harford, defeating Vermont. Further EFL premierships followed in 2012 and 2013, with back-to-back titles, and again in 2015, 2016, 2024, and 2025. Notable alumni include Leigh Montagna (St Kilda), Luke Power (Brisbane Bears/GWS), and Sam Power (Western Bulldogs/North Melbourne).
Home Ground
The Tigers play at Balwyn Park, their long-standing home ground in Balwyn. The ground was developed from farmland by Camberwell Council in 1910, giving the club a permanent base from its earliest years. Balwyn Park has hosted Eastern Football League competition matches as the club has established itself in Premier Division, the top tier of the EFL competition.
Community and Programs
Balwyn FC fields senior teams in the Eastern Football Netball League (formerly Eastern Football League), competing in Premier Division alongside clubs including Berwick, Blackburn, Doncaster East, East Ringwood, Noble Park, Rowville, South Belgrave, South Croydon, and Vermont. The club also operates a junior development program, providing a pathway for young players in the Boroondara region to progress through age-group competitions toward the senior ranks.
Balwyn
Balwyn is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, located 10 km east of the Central Business District. According to the 2021 census, Balwyn had a population of 13,495. The suburb falls within the City of Boroondara local government area and is characterised by established tree-lined streets, period homes, and proximity to the Kew commercial precinct. Balwyn is regarded as one of Melbourne's most desirable inner-eastern suburbs.
The Tigers compete in the Eastern Football Netball League (Premier Division) and call Balwyn Park home. Visit the club website, or follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
