📝 How to Order Your Personalised Blackburn Burners JFC Footy Banner

Ordering your Blackburn Burners JFC milestone football banner is easy. First, choose your size and type-Small, Medium, Large, Team, or Grand Final. Enter the player’s first name, last name, and guernsey number (for example, Michael Smith, #23), and specify the milestone games being celebrated, like a 150-Game milestone.

Our heavy-duty paper and permanent inks ensure your custom footy banner will look sharp and stay strong in rain, wind, or sunshine.

If you’re ordering a two-player football banner, both players must share the same milestone. Enter both names and guernsey numbers, and we’ll print an affordable, high-quality two-player milestone banner for the Blackburn Burners JFC Football Club.

For Team banners showcasing three to six players, select the Team Banner option. List up to six player names. We’ll optimise the layout for a premium group AFL footy banner that highlights all your milestone achievers.

If you’d like a custom team banner with a slogan, simply add your top text (such as "Great Team Effort This Year!") and a bottom tagline. We'll design a team footy banner that captures the true spirit of the Blackburn Burners JFC Football Club.

We also offer wall keepsake banners, available in Small, Medium, or Large. These scaled-down versions of your AFL run-through banner are printed on thick, recyclable paper with waterproof inks-perfect for displaying at home, in the games room, shed, or the clubrooms.

Finally, for the ultimate celebration, order a Grand Final banner. Choose from a 4.5 metre or a massive 5.5 metre size, with fully custom top and bottom text. Contact us for bespoke design advice, and celebrate with a Grand Final footy banner that makes your Blackburn Burners JFC Football Club stand out on the biggest day of the season.

About Blackburn Burners JFC

Origins and Founding

Blackburn Burners Junior Football Club traces its roots to 1990, when a group of passionate parents sought to provide local children with ongoing football opportunities after primary school. Originating from St Thomas' Primary School in Blackburn, the founding group established an Under 13 team in the Knox Junior Football League with the backing of Blackburn Football Club, which supplied jumpers and access to facilities. That single team laid the foundation for what would become one of the largest junior clubs in the Eastern Football Netball League (EFNL).

Club History

Growth came quickly in the years that followed. In 1993, Blackburn added an Under 14 team competing within the EFNL, followed by an Under 16 team in 1994. Under 10 and Under 12 sides were introduced in 1996 to cater for younger players, and in 1999 an Under 9 team launched to provide even earlier pathways into the game. Teams across each age group were progressively added as demand grew. In 2024, nine boys teams reached the EFNL finals series, with the U12 Black and U14 Black sides each claiming A Grade premierships. The club has been recognised as the Best Junior Club in the EFNL on two separate occasions and in 2024 won both the EFNL Best Conducted Junior Club Award and the Whitehorse Sport and Recreation Awards Club of the Year.

Home Ground

Blackburn Burners JFC shares its home ground with the senior Blackburn Football Club at Schwerkolt Street Reserve in Blackburn. The junior program has always benefited from the infrastructure of the parent club, which was established in 1903 and has operated as a cornerstone institution in the area for well over a century. Matches are played on Sundays across the EFNL competition season.

Community and Programs

Today, Blackburn Burners JFC is one of the largest and most vibrant junior clubs in the EFNL, with over 640 children competing across age groups from Under 8s to Under 17.5. The club supports two thriving Auskick programs that collectively welcome more than 150 children each weekend, providing a first introduction to Australian rules football. A girls program was established to ensure equal opportunity, with over 150 girls players spread across six teams as of 2023, competing at every age level from Under 12 through to Under 18. The club's commitment to family involvement, sportsmanship and community is reflected in its consistent recognition at local and league level.

Blackburn

Blackburn is a residential suburb situated 17 kilometres east of Melbourne's CBD within the City of Whitehorse. It recorded a population of 14,478 at the 2021 census and is well known for the Blackburn Lake Sanctuary, a remnant woodland area that provides a green retreat within the suburban landscape. The suburb developed significantly through the mid-twentieth century and retains a strong community character, making it a natural fit for a club that places family and local belonging at the centre of everything it does.

The Burners compete in the Eastern Football Netball League and call Schwerkolt Street Reserve in Blackburn home. For more information, visit the club website, or connect on Facebook and Instagram.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    đź’ˇ Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
