Simple to Order

Choose from a Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner. Just send us the player's name, surname, guernsey number and milestone - for example, Matt Smith, #43, 50 Games - and we will take care of the rest. Every banner is printed with permanent inks on heavy duty, weatherproof paper, built to handle a cold Melbourne winter without fading.

Two Players, One Banner

Got two Thunder players reaching the same milestone on the same day? A Two Player Banner lets you celebrate them together. Simply provide both names and guernsey numbers for a quality banner that marks the occasion.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Our Team Banner option fits 3 to 6 players, perfect for celebrating a milestone together as a squad. Add a top line message like "Go Thunder!" for a run through banner that gets everyone fired up on game day.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks so they last. A great way to mark a milestone in the clubrooms, games room, or at home.

About Northern Thunder Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Northern Thunder Rugby League Football Club was formed in Broadmeadows in 1999, one of the clubs that helped build rugby league's presence in Melbourne's northern suburbs during the code's expansion into Victoria. From its late 1990s beginnings the club has grown into an established fixture of the local competition, now fielding men's, women's and junior sides.

Club History

Northern Thunder compete in the Melbourne Rugby League competition run under NRL Victoria, and won a premiership in the Men's Second Grade in 2024. The club has produced a strong list of juniors who went on to professional first grade rugby league, including Young Tonumaipea, who played for the Melbourne Storm and Gold Coast Titans between 2014 and 2024, Richard Kennar, who played for the Melbourne Storm, South Sydney Rabbitohs and Brisbane Broncos from 2015 to 2024, and Sualauvi Fa'alogo, who has played for the Melbourne Storm since 2023.

Home Ground

Since 2024, Northern Thunder has called Seabrook Reserve in Broadmeadows home, a facility built between 2021 and 2023 at a cost of $16.9 million as Victoria's Rugby League Centre of Excellence. The venue also serves as the administration base for NRL Victoria and Touch Football Victoria, and includes a show pitch, three community access pitches and a female friendly pavilion with high performance training facilities.

Community and Programs

The club fields teams across men's, women's and junior rugby league, giving players throughout Melbourne's north a pathway from junior level through to senior and representative football, with its junior program a consistent source of talent for the Melbourne Storm's development system.

Broadmeadows

Broadmeadows is a suburb in Melbourne's north, within the City of Hume and about 15 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. Established as a township in the 1850s and known locally as Broady, Broadmeadows recorded a population of 12,524 at the 2021 census.

Northern Thunder compete in the Melbourne Rugby League and call Seabrook Reserve home. Follow the club on Facebook for news, fixtures and match day updates.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
