About Kingsway Roos Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Kingsway Roos Football Club traces its roots to the original Wanneroo Football Club, which competed at the Wanneroo Showgrounds from the 1920s. In 1978, the club relocated to the newly built Kingsway Sporting Complex in Madeley, adopting the Kingsway identity and embarking on one of the most successful periods in Perth community football history. The club won six consecutive WAFA premierships between 1978 and 1983, followed by three Sunday Football League premierships across the 1988 to 1992 era.
By the early 2000s, the club was trading as Wanneroo Kingsway to distinguish itself from a separate Wanneroo Amateur Football Club that had formed with permission of the original club in the 1980s. In 2007, the club scaled back to one team, won the MFA premiership, and was granted entry into the Perth Football League for 2008 - this time officially adopting the name Kingsway Football Club.

Club History
Kingsway first affiliated with the Perth Football League in 1948, competed under the Wanneroo banner through the late 1970s and early 1980s, and re-entered as Kingsway in 2008. The club progressively worked through the competition grades to reach and sustain A-Grade status. In 2024, Kingsway made history by winning their first A-Grade Perth Football League premiership - a landmark moment for a club that had rebuilt itself from the ground up. The Roos have accumulated four A-Grade premierships in total, confirming their place as one of the most improved clubs in the Perth metropolitan competition.

Home Ground
Kingsway Football and Sporting Club has called Kingsway Sporting Complex home since 1978, located on Sporting Drive in Madeley, Western Australia. The complex serves as a central hub for multiple sporting clubs in Perth's northern suburbs and hosts all Kingsway home games across every grade. The facility includes clubrooms and social areas that bring together players, members, and families throughout the season.

Community and Programs
Kingsway Football and Sporting Club fields teams across a wide range of competitions, including A-League, A-Reserves, A-Colts, Ladies, 3rds, Supers (Over 35s), Masters, Womens 35s, and an Integrated (disability inclusion) team. The affiliated Kingsway Junior Football Club, established in 2000, provides a junior pathway for boys and girls from Pre-Primary through Year 12. The Integrated team reflects a genuine commitment to inclusive sport in the northern suburbs.

Madeley, Western Australia
Madeley is a residential suburb in the City of Wanneroo, located approximately 20 kilometres north of Perth's CBD. Part of Perth's rapidly growing northern corridor, Madeley sits adjacent to Kingsley and Landsdale and is well connected via the Mitchell Freeway. The Kingsway Sporting Complex is the suburb's major community facility. The City of Wanneroo is one of Australia's fastest-growing local government areas, giving clubs like Kingsway a continuously expanding pool of players and supporters to draw from.
