Since 1892, the Bunbury Football Club has been woven into the fabric of football in Western Australia's South West, and FootyBanners.com is proud to help the Bulldogs celebrate every milestone with a fully custom banner that honours that extraordinary history.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options and provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone (for example, Aaron McGrath, #9, 200 Games). Banners are produced with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper that stands up to a blazing WA afternoon at the ground in Bunbury.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Bulldogs players hit the same milestone in the same match, our Two Player banner gives them both the recognition they deserve. Provide both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll handle the design from there.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Celebrating 3 to 6 players at once? Our Team Banner option covers everyone in one powerful design. Set a top-line message like "Bark Up Bulldogs!" and give your squad a run-through they'll talk about for years.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Our Wall Keepsake Banners are available in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A brilliant addition to the Bulldogs clubrooms or a permanent display celebrating a great career at Bunbury.
Grand Final Banners
When the Bulldogs are playing for the title, go all in with a Grand Final banner in 4.5m or 5.5m. Top and bottom text is fully customised for Bunbury Football Club. Get in touch for wording and design support before the big day.
About Bunbury Football Club (Bulldogs)
Origins and Founding
The Bunbury Football Club (known as the Bulldogs) has more than a century of history, with Australian rules football having been played in the greater Bunbury region since the early 1890s. The club was originally known as Railways and evolved through various local competitions before the formation of the South West Football League (SWFL) in 1957, which brought together clubs from across Western Australia's south-west region. As one of the foundation clubs of the SWFL, Bunbury FC has been at the heart of regional football in WA's south-west ever since.
Club History
The Bulldogs have won nine SWFL premierships, in 1958, 1961, 1962, 1970, 1982, 1983, 2001, 2017, and 2020. The back-to-back flags of 1961-1962 and 1982-1983 speak to the club's ability to build sustained success, while the 2017 and 2020 premierships - the latter coming during a disrupted pandemic-affected season - confirmed the Bulldogs as one of the region's most competitive clubs. The club fields senior men's, reserves, senior women's, and junior teams, and is one of the largest and strongest football clubs in Western Australia's South West region with a diverse membership base. In 2025, Bulldogs women's players were among those recognised at the South West Football League Awards, highlighting the growing strength of the women's program.
Home Ground
Bunbury FC is based at PC Payne Park, located on Herbert Road in East Bunbury. The club relocated to Payne Park from the Bunbury Recreation Ground (near the Back Beach) in the early 1970s. The club's main premises were established in 1973 to cater for 200 people with change rooms and kitchen facilities, and in 1983 extensions were added including a gymnasium, boardroom, and upstairs function area catering for an additional 100 people. Payne Park is now one of the premier football facilities in WA's south-west.
Community and Programs
Bunbury FC is a cornerstone of sport and community life in Western Australia's South West. The club supports players from junior football all the way through to senior men's, senior women's, and reserves competitions. The Bulldogs are affiliated with Country Football WA and the SWFL, which connects clubs from across the Bunbury, Harvey, Collie, and surrounding areas. The club's gymnasium at Payne Park is available for community use, adding another dimension to its role as a local hub.
Bunbury
Bunbury is a coastal city in Western Australia's South West region, located approximately 175 kilometres south of Perth. With a population of 76,452 at the 2021 census, Bunbury is Western Australia's third largest city after Perth and Mandurah, and the regional capital of the South West. The city sits at the mouth of the Leschenault Estuary and is known for its wild dolphin interactions at Koombana Bay, strong regional economy, and its Noongar name Goomburrup.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
