About Chittering Broncos Junior Football Club

Origins and Founding

Chittering Broncos Junior Football Club is based in Muchea in the Shire of Chittering, Western Australia. The club is approaching its 30th anniversary, having been established in the mid-1990s to provide a local football pathway for children in the Chittering Valley region. The Broncos operate out of Muchea Arena on Archibald Street, Muchea, and compete in the East Perth Junior Football competition as part of the Metro Central Conference in WA Football Juniors.

Club History

The Chittering Broncos have grown significantly over the decades, now catering to over 250 players aged 5 to 17 years across Auskick, junior, and youth competition. The club supplies 16 umpires to the Metro Central Conference, reflecting a substantial contribution to the administration and development of junior football across the broader competition. In 2025 and 2026, the club celebrated approximately 30 years of Chittering Junior Football Club and has been building a girls' football program, fielding its first all-girls team in recent seasons. The club has been coached at various points by premiership-winning coaches, with Will Grimshaw noted as a two-time premiership coach.

Home Ground

The Broncos play all their home games at Muchea Arena, located on Archibald Street in Muchea, WA 6501. The facility is the hub of junior sport in the Shire of Chittering and has been developed progressively over many decades - infrastructure at the ground dates back at least to the early 1920s according to Shire of Chittering records. The Arena is used for training, home matches, and club events throughout the football season.

Community and Programs

The Broncos' philosophy is captured in their motto: "it's all about the kids." The club runs an Auskick program for girls and boys in Pre-Primary through to Year 2, with junior and youth competitions extending up to age 17. The club has made a deliberate effort to engage Year 11 and 12 players to ensure continued growth at the older age groups. In 2024, Broncos players attended events at Optus Stadium in partnership with WA Football Juniors, and the club has developed strong links with local schools in the Chittering Valley to introduce football to children who may not otherwise have had the opportunity.

Muchea and the Chittering Valley

Muchea is a rural locality in the Shire of Chittering, approximately 55 kilometres north of Perth's CBD. The Shire of Chittering covers around 2,600 square kilometres of the Chittering Valley, an area known for its avocado and olive orchards, wildflowers, and semi-rural lifestyle. Muchea itself is a service point on the Brand Highway and is home to a livestock saleyard that is one of the largest in Western Australia. The surrounding Chittering Valley attracts visitors for its spring wildflowers and proximity to the Avon Valley. Football in the region is a genuine community institution, with the Broncos serving families from Muchea, Lower Chittering, Upper Chittering, and surrounding areas.

The Broncos compete in the East Perth Junior Football competition and call Muchea Arena home. Follow the Chittering Broncos on Facebook for news, fixtures, and updates.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
