Paraburdoo Saints Banners - Celebrating Milestones in the Pilbara
Whether it's 50 games, 100 games, or a career milestone worth shouting about, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners that do justice to every Saints achievement. Our personalised banners are crafted specifically for Paraburdoo Saints players and supporters, and make a lasting impression on any footy occasion.
Simple to Order
Choose from our Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options. For player banners, simply provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Jake Williams, #7, 100 Games. All banners are printed with permanent, weatherproof inks on heavy-duty paper, built to handle whatever a blazing WA afternoon throws at them.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Saints teammates reach the same milestone on the same day, our Two Player banner is the perfect way to honour them both. Provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the shared milestone, and we'll create a quality banner that celebrates both players in style.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Got 3 to 6 players all hitting milestones in the same round? Our Team Banner option lets you celebrate the whole group together. Your top line can read something like "SAINTS MILESTONES - ROUND 12" with each player listed below. It's a great way to recognise the depth of talent coming through the Paraburdoo Saints.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. They look fantastic in the clubrooms, a garage, or a games room - a permanent reminder of the Saints milestones worth remembering.
Grand Final Banners
We offer Grand Final banners in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, fully customised with your choice of top and bottom text. If you're planning a banner for a Paraburdoo Saints Football Club finals campaign, get in touch and we'll help you nail the design.
About Paraburdoo Saints Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Paraburdoo Saints Football Club entered the Fortescue National Football League (FNFL) in 1973, following the reopening of Hamersley Iron's Paraburdoo mining operations. The FNFL itself was founded in 1970, making it one of the most remote top-tier Australian rules football competitions in the country. The Saints won the premiership in their very first season in 1973, immediately establishing themselves as a force in Pilbara football. After being runners-up in 1974, they claimed a second flag in 1976.
Club History
Across more than five decades, the Paraburdoo Saints have become one of the most successful clubs in the FNFL. The club has won ten premierships: 1973, 1976, 1990, 1991, 2009, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025 - making them the most recent FNFL premiers. The Saints are the only club in the four-team competition based in Paraburdoo, competing against three Tom Price sides (Panthers, Tigers, and Townsite Eagles). The rivalry between Saints and Townsite Eagles - who lead all-time with 21 premierships - is one of the great fixtures in Pilbara sport.
Home Ground
The Saints play their home games at Peter Sutherland Oval in Paraburdoo. The oval is the larger of two sporting grounds in town and serves as the hub for AFL and cricket in the community. It sits adjacent to the Paraburdoo Community HUB and Federation Park, with the Community HUB having opened in June 2019 as a central gathering point for residents. The oval's setting - surrounded by the rust-red Pilbara landscape at 424 metres above sea level - makes for one of the more dramatic home ground environments in Australian football.
Community and Programs
In a town of roughly 1,319 residents (2021 census), the Paraburdoo Saints are far more than a football club - they are a cornerstone of community life. The club draws players from the town's mining workforce and their families, with participants coming from across Australia and internationally to compete in the Pilbara's remote competition. The Saints' role in providing sporting and social connection is especially significant given Paraburdoo's geographic isolation, with Tom Price the nearest neighbouring town 79 kilometres away and the closest major centre, Karratha, some 426 kilometres distant.
Paraburdoo
Paraburdoo is a mining town in the Shire of Ashburton in Western Australia's Pilbara region, situated 1,528 kilometres north of Perth. The town was gazetted in 1972 to service Hamersley Iron's (now Pilbara Iron/Rio Tinto) local iron ore operations. With a population of 1,319 at the 2021 census, it is a compact but tightly-knit community with facilities including a primary school, TAFE, swimming pool, and sporting oval. The name "Paraburdoo" derives from an Aboriginal word meaning "feathered meat", believed to refer to the little corellas abundant in the area.
The Saints compete in the Fortescue National Football League and call Peter Sutherland Oval home. Follow their season on the Paraburdoo Saints Facebook page.

Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
