Claremont Tigers Football Club Banners - Proud Banners for a Proud WAFL Club
The Claremont Tigers have one of the most storied histories in Western Australian football, and FootyBanners.com is proud to help celebrate the milestones of Tigers players with custom-made footy banners. Whether it's a landmark game count or a grand final run-through, we'll capture the moment.
Simple to Order
We offer Single Player, Two Player, Team, and Grand Final banner styles. For player banners, just provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Ben Lawson, #14, 100 Games. Our banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper built to handle a blazing WA afternoon out at the oval.
Two Players, One Banner
Two Tigers reaching the same milestone together? Our Two Player banner brings their celebration together on one quality banner. Provide both players' names, guernsey numbers, and the milestone you're marking, and we'll handle the rest. A standout way to honour two legends on the same day.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Our Team Banner option is designed for 3 to 6 players and is perfect when a group of Tigers all deserve recognition at once. You can include a top-line message like "Claremont Tigers - Always a Tiger!" to really bring the banner to life. Great for end-of-season nights and milestone rounds.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are made from thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks that won't fade. A Tigers keepsake banner displayed in the clubrooms, garage, or games room is a proud reminder of a player's finest season at Claremont Oval.
Grand Final Banners
For WAFL Grand Final day, we produce banners in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with fully customisable top and bottom text for the Claremont Tigers Football Club. Our team is happy to assist with design and wording to make sure everything looks perfect - just contact us before you order.
About Claremont Tigers Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Claremont Football Club was founded in 1906 as the Cottesloe Beach Football Club, initially competing in the Western Australian Football Association. The club dominated amateur competition from the outset, winning WAFA premierships from 1907 to 1910. After years of failed applications to join the top-flight WAFL competition, the club merged with a Claremont consortium in 1919, was admitted to the WAFL "B" grade as Claremont-Cottesloe in 1921, and was elevated to the senior WAFL competition in 1926. The club officially shortened its name to Claremont in 1935, the identity the Tigers have carried proudly ever since.
Club History
Claremont have won 12 WAFL senior men's premierships: 1938, 1939, 1940, 1964, 1981, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1996, 2011, and 2012. The back-to-back flags of 2011 and 2012 represent the club's most recent senior men's success and came at the end of a period of sustained excellence under coach Ashley Prescott. The club's women's program has been equally impressive, with WAFLW premierships in 2022, 2024, and 2025. According to the club's Wikipedia entry, Claremont have produced 64 AFL draftees, including the Krakouer brothers Jim and Phil (North Melbourne), Nat Fyfe (Fremantle), Jesse Hogan (Melbourne), and Tom Barrass (West Coast Eagles/Hawthorn). Multiple players have won the prestigious Sandover Medal as the WAFL's fairest and best player, including George Moloney (1936), Michael Mitchell and Steve Malaxos (1984), Luke Blackwell (2011), Kane Mitchell (2012), Jye Bolton (2016, 2018), and Bailey Rogers (2021).
Home Ground
The Tigers call Claremont Oval their home ground in Claremont, Western Australia. The ground has been the club's primary venue since 1927 - with a brief interruption in 1945 and 1946 when a grandstand fire led to the club sharing with Subiaco. Claremont Oval has a capacity of approximately 5,000 spectators and sits alongside the Claremont Showground, a second venue the club also uses. The ground is located near Claremont town centre, close to the Swan River.
Community and Programs
The Claremont Football Club fields teams across all grades in the WAFL competition, including the Reserves, Colts (Under 19s), and the WAFLW women's team, which has emerged as one of the powerhouse sides in the competition since its inception in 2019. The club has a well-established pathway for developing local talent into AFL-level players, with a track record of producing West Australian footballers who go on to represent the state and excel at the national level.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
