Out in the heart of the Kimberley, the Ord River Magpies play their footy with serious passion. FootyBanners.com lets you honour your club's players and achievements with fully customised banners - delivered right to Kununurra no matter the occasion.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner styles. For a player banner, just supply the name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Daniel Farrell, #15, 100 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper designed to hold up even under a blazing WA afternoon on the oval.
Two Players, One Banner
When two players reach the same milestone, our Two Player Banner lets you celebrate them both on one quality banner. Just provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the shared achievement - we handle the rest.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Honour 3 to 6 players together with our Team Banner option. Create a top-line message like "Magpies - Pride of the East Kimberley" and recognise the whole group in one go. Perfect for season milestones, end of year nights, or any occasion worth marking.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Our Wall Keepsake Banners are available in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A great addition to any clubroom, man cave, or games room for the proud Magpies supporter who wants a lasting memento.

About Ord River Magpies
Origins and Founding
The Ord River Magpies Football Club was founded in 1972 in Kununurra, Western Australia, and joined the East Kimberley Football League (EKFL) in the same year. The EKFL itself was formed in 1970 to provide organised Australian rules football across the Kimberley region. The Magpies are the longest continuously running club in the association, having competed without interruption since their foundation, a record that reflects both the passion of the local community and the enduring strength of the club's organisation.
Club History
Over more than five decades, the Ord River Magpies have established themselves as one of the most storied clubs in Kimberley football. The club has competed in the EKFL Senior Men North division alongside rivals including the Kununurra Demons, Port Wyndham Crocs, and Waringarri Crows. In 2021, the club launched its 50th season celebrations, marking a remarkable milestone for a country football club operating in a remote regional centre. The Magpies also field a Senior Women's team in the EKFL, underlining the club's commitment to football for all members of the community.
Home Ground
The Magpies play their home games in Kununurra, with their home oval being a centrepiece of East Kimberley sporting life. In January 2025, the Kununurra Agricultural Oval was officially renamed in honour of Ingrid Harvey, a beloved community figure and club legend, after East Kimberley councillors voted unanimously to recognise her contribution to football and the broader Kununurra community. The Magpies' administrative base is at 77 Ivanhoe Road, Kununurra WA 6743.
Community and Programs
The Ord River Magpies play an important social role in Kununurra, bringing together players from diverse backgrounds including local Aboriginal communities, pastoral station workers, and residents of the town itself. The club's football programs help foster connection and community pride across the East Kimberley, and the addition of women's football has expanded the club's reach in recent years. Club activities and match days are a focal point of the Kununurra social calendar throughout the season.
Kununurra
Kununurra is a regional town in Western Australia's East Kimberley, located approximately 3,200 kilometres north of Perth and close to the Northern Territory border. It is the gateway to the Ord River Irrigation Scheme, the Bungle Bungle Range, and Lake Argyle, and serves as a service centre for the region's agricultural, tourism, and mining industries. The town has a population of around 6,000 and is known for its warm, close-knit community and spectacular natural surroundings. The Magpies compete in the East Kimberley Football League and are based in Kununurra. Follow the club on Facebook for the latest match results, news, and updates from Kununurra.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
