Clayton Clays Football Club Banners - Celebrate Every Milestone in Style
When a Clayton Clays player reaches a major milestone, there is no better way to mark the occasion than with a custom banner from FootyBanners.com. Whether it is 50 games, 100 games, or a career best, our personalised banners help the whole club celebrate with the Clays.
Simple to Order
Ordering your Clayton Clays banner is quick and easy. Select a Single Player Banner and provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Tom Briggs, #7, 100 Games. Our banners are produced with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper, built to survive even a bitter Melbourne winter at Jack Meade Oval.
Two Players, One Banner
If two Clays players are sharing a milestone round, a Two Player Banner is the perfect solution. Simply supply both players names and guernsey numbers - both players must be celebrating the same milestone game. Our two-player banners deliver the same outstanding quality as our single-player options.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
For squad-wide celebrations, the Team Banner option lets you feature between 3 and 6 players on a single banner. A top-line message such as "Go Clays!" ties it all together and gets the whole club pumped. It is a fantastic way to honour a group of players who have all reached the same milestone together.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Our Wall Keepsake Banners are available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. They look brilliant hanging in the clubrooms, a garage, or a games room, and make a lasting reminder of a special day for any Clays supporter.
Grand Final Banners
FootyBanners.com supplies Grand Final Banners in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, fully customised with your top and bottom text. If the Clayton Football & Netball Club is heading into a big final, get in touch with us for design advice and we will help you create something truly memorable.
About Clayton Clays Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Clayton Football and Netball Club (CFNC) was established in 1908 by William Bunny, a local councillor, making it one of the oldest community football clubs in Melbourne's south-east. The club began competing in the Berwick Football Association and its successor, the Dandenong District Football Association, laying down roots in the local community that have held firm for well over a century.
Club History
When the Dandenong competition folded in 1954, Clayton joined the Federal Football League, going on to claim back-to-back premierships in 1980 and 1981. The club then moved into the South East Suburban Football League (SESFL), winning premierships in 1982 and 1984 before transferring to the Eastern Districts Football League (EDFL), where they claimed the Division 2 premiership in 1993 and earned promotion to Division 1.
Clayton returned to their natural local competition in 1999, joining the Southern Football Netball League (SFNL). Success continued with Division 1 premierships in 2001 and 2006. After a period of rebuilding, the Clays won the Division 2 flag in 2010 and returned to the top tier. The women's football arm, affectionately known as the "Claydies," was founded in 2018 and made an instant impact, winning the SFNL Women's Division 2 premiership in their debut season. The men's senior side contested the 2019 SFNL Grand Final. The club's netball section, launched in 2011, added a Division 3 premiership in 2014.
Home Ground
The Clays play their home games at Jack Meade Reserve (also known as Clayton Reserve) on Haughton Road, Clayton. The ground takes its name from Jack Meade, who gave more than 45 years of dedicated service to the club between 1950 and 1995. The oval remains the heart of the club and the gathering place for generations of Clayton families on match days.
Community and Programs
CFNC fields men's, women's, and junior football teams alongside multiple netball sides, reflecting its status as a genuine football and netball club rather than a one-dimensional sporting organisation. The "Claydies" women's football program has grown steadily since its inaugural 2018 season and continues to attract new participants across the southern suburbs. The club's netball section, which first took the court in 2011, now fields three separate teams, the most in the club's history.
Clayton
Clayton is a suburb of Melbourne located approximately 19 kilometres south-east of the CBD, within the City of Monash. With a population of around 18,988 (2021 census), Clayton is a diverse and established community best known as the home of Monash University's main campus and the Monash Medical Centre, making it one of Australia's most significant hubs for education, health, and medical research. The suburb's mix of long-standing residential streets, student accommodation, and commercial precincts gives it a distinctive character unlike many of its neighbours.
The Clays compete in the Southern Football Netball League and call Jack Meade Reserve, Clayton home. Visit the club website for fixtures, news, and club information, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for match day updates and club news.

Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
