Dingley Dingoes Banners - The Dingoes Come Out to Play
When the Dingley Dingoes run out on a crisp Melbourne afternoon, a custom-designed FootyBanners.com run-through banner sets the tone for everything that follows. From the explosion of paper to the roar of the home crowd, a great banner turns a Saturday game into a moment players and supporters will still be talking about well after the final siren.
Simple to Order
Ordering your Dingley Dingoes banner is easy. Upload a photo, add your message, and our design team creates the artwork. You will receive a proof to approve before anything is printed, so the final banner looks exactly as you imagined.
Two Players, One Banner
Two Dingoes together on one banner is a powerful way to recognise a standout partnership. Co-captains, two finals heroes, or a pair of players who have given everything all season - the two-player banner creates an image the whole club will remember.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Celebrate the full squad with a team banner for end-of-season presentations, milestone rounds, or club celebrations. Every player gets their place in a photo worth keeping, and the whole club gets a record of a team that worked hard together all year.
Wall Keepsake Banners
A wall keepsake banner is a lasting tribute to a great season or a memorable moment in the club's history. Hang it in the change rooms, give it to a retiring legend, or display it at home as a permanent piece of Dingley Dingoes history that will age beautifully.
Grand Final Banners
When the Dingley Dingoes make the grand final, the occasion demands the best. Our grand final banners are built for the biggest game of the season and help every player feel the full weight and excitement of running out on that day.
About Dingley Football and Netball Club
Origins and Founding
The Dingley Football and Netball Club - known as the Dingoes - was established in 1958, with a founding committee formed that year after the local oval at Dingley Village was prepared for play. The club waited until 1959 to enter competition, joining the Caulfield-Oakleigh Football League. When that competition merged with the Eastern Suburban Football League to form the South East Suburban Football League, the Dingoes were placed in B Grade. The club has operated continuously under community ownership since its formation, serving the southern suburbs of Melbourne.
Club History
The Dingoes spent nearly two decades in the South West Gippsland Football League from 1977, culminating in a breakthrough senior premiership in 1994 when they defeated Cranbourne by 24 points in the grand final. When the SWGFL was absorbed into the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League in 1995, the Dingoes continued in that competition until 2006 with limited finals success.
In 2007 the club made a pivotal decision to join the Southern Football League - now the Southern Football Netball League - where they found their greatest success. They won the Division 2 premiership in 2008 and have competed in Division 1 ever since. A golden era began in 2011 when ex-AFL players Shane Morwood and Darren Kappler were appointed as senior and reserves coaches. This produced an extraordinary run: Division 1 senior premierships in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019, establishing the Dingoes as the dominant force in the SFNL. The reserves have also thrived, winning flags in 2011, 2014, 2015, 2019, 2022, and 2024.
Home Ground
The Dingoes play their home games at Marcus Road Reserve in Dingley Village, located at 31E Marcus Road. The ground has been the club's base throughout its history in the southern suburbs and includes oval facilities, courts, and a pavilion available for community hire. The SFNL grand finals have been hosted at RSEA Park in Moorabbin, where Dingley have claimed multiple flags before their home crowd.
Community and Programs
The Dingoes introduced netball in 2012 and officially renamed the club the Dingley Football Netball Club at the 2015 AGM. The netball program has been equally successful, competing in every SFNL Division 1 Netball Grand Final since 2012 and winning the Division 1 netball premiership three consecutive times in 2013, 2014, and 2015. A thirds football team was introduced in 2012 and won three consecutive premierships over the same period. The club also runs junior football and women's programs as part of its community engagement in the Kingston local government area.
Dingley Village
Dingley Village is a southern suburb of Melbourne in the City of Kingston, approximately 26 kilometres from the CBD. The area recorded a population of 10,495 at the 2021 census. Known for its quiet residential streets, proximity to Braeside Park, and easy access to the Dingley Bypass, the suburb has a strong community identity. The Hawthorn Football Club's Kennedy Community Centre is also located nearby, with the AFL's training facility at Dingley adding to the area's sporting character.
The Dingoes compete in the Southern Football Netball League and call Marcus Road Reserve, Dingley Village, home. Visit the club website for more information, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.
Footy Banner Information
All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using solvent inks which will not run, even if they get wet.
We recommend taping broomsticks to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it. if you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through.
On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon!
Return and Refund Policy
As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.
Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
