Dunnstown Towners Banners - Ballarat Footy and Netball, Celebrated Right

Whether it's a milestone for a long-serving Towner or the whole club heading into finals, FootyBanners.com creates fully custom banners that do justice to the proud tradition of the Dunnstown Football Netball Club.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options and supply the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone (for example, Josh Hannan, #3, 100 Games). Your banner will be produced with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper that withstands a cold and blustery Ballarat afternoon at the ground.

Two Players, One Banner

If two Towners players are hitting the same milestone on the same match day, our Two Player banner celebrates them both in one great design. Just provide both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll handle everything from there.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

For groups of 3 to 6 players celebrating together, our Team Banner option is the answer. Set a memorable top-line message like "Go Towners!" and send the whole squad running through something they'll never forget.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Our Wall Keepsake Banners are available in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A fantastic addition to the Towners clubrooms or a supporter's home or games room display.

Grand Final Banners

When the Towners are playing for the flag, step up with a Grand Final banner in 4.5m or 5.5m. Both the top and bottom text are fully customised for Dunnstown Football Netball Club. Reach out to us before finals for design and wording support.

About Dunnstown Football Netball Club

Origins and Founding

The Dunnstown Football Netball Club, known as the Towners, was founded in 1894 and is one of the most historically significant clubs in regional Victorian football. Based in the small township of Dunnstown - 12 kilometres east of Ballarat and 108 kilometres west of Melbourne - the club competed in the Ripon and Lexton leagues through the early and mid-20th century before joining the Central Highlands Football League (CHFL) in 1979. The Towners previously competed in the Ballarat and Bacchus Marsh Football League (BBMFL).

Club History

The Towners hold one of the most remarkable records in CHFL history. In 1994, the club completed an undefeated senior football season to claim the CHFL premiership - the last team in the league's history to do so - and went on to win the flag again in 1998 and 1999, establishing a run of three CHFL titles in six seasons. That 1994 campaign also launched a winning streak of 32 consecutive games, a CHFL record. The club had previously appeared in three consecutive grand finals in 1980, 1981, and 1982 before breaking through for its first CHFL premiership in 1994.

The Towners have also enjoyed considerable success at the reserves level, winning CHFL reserve grade premierships in 1985, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2000, 2003, 2007, and 2025. Earlier in the club's history, the Towners won a Ripon League premiership in 1925 and a Lexton League flag in 1965. CHFL record-holder Ian McBain kicked 149 goals in the 1982 season - the most by any individual in a CHFL season - while playing for Dunnstown.

Home Ground

The Towners play at the Dunnstown Recreation Reserve, the hub of community life in Dunnstown. The ground hosts senior and junior football matches as well as netball competition throughout the season. The club fields five football teams (Under-12, Under-15, Under-18, Reserves and Seniors) and seven netball teams, making it one of the most comprehensive sporting organisations in the Moorabool Shire.

Dunnstown, Victoria

Dunnstown is a small rural town in the Shire of Moorabool, situated on the flats below Mount Warrenheip approximately 12 kilometres east of Ballarat. At the 2021 Australian census, the town and surrounding area had a population of 259. The area has historical connections to gold-era Victoria, with Brind's Distillery operating nearby in the 19th century. Dunnstown is served by the Ballarat electorate at state level and the federal division of Ballarat.

The Towners compete in the Central Highlands Football Netball League and call the Dunnstown Recreation Reserve home. Visit the club at dunnstownfnc.com.au and follow them on Facebook for the latest news and results.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
