Murrayville Blues Banners - Mallee Country Football, Celebrated Right

The Murrayville Football Club has a deep and proud history in Victoria's north-west Mallee country, and FootyBanners.com is proud to help the Blues celebrate every milestone with a fully custom banner that does justice to that heritage.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options and provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone (for example, Jay Collins, #3, 100 Games). Banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper that holds up through a baking Victorian Mallee afternoon at the Reserve Road ground.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Blues players share a milestone on the same match day, our Two Player banner celebrates them both in one great design. Provide both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll sort the design from there.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

For groups of 3 to 6 players celebrating together, our Team Banner option covers the whole squad in one powerful design. Set a punchy top-line message like "Go Blues Go!" and send your players out with something to be proud of.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are produced on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A fitting display for the Blues clubrooms or a home display celebrating a great career at Murrayville.

Grand Final Banners

When the Blues are playing for the flag, step up with a Grand Final banner in 4.5m or 5.5m. Top and bottom text is fully customised for Murrayville Football Club. Contact us for wording and design support before the big day.

About Murrayville Blues Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Murrayville Football Club was founded in 1960 in the small Mallee township of Murrayville, situated in western Victoria just 24 kilometres east of the South Australian border. Originally competing in the Lameroo and District Football Association, the club has operated across several regional leagues over its six-decade history. From 1994 to 2022 the club competed in the Mallee Football League (South Australia) under the Bulldogs name - a rare cross-border arrangement reflecting Murrayville's geographic proximity to SA's Riverland region. In 2023 the club joined the newly formed Murray Valley Football Netball League (MVFNL), competing under the Blues name.

Club History

During the club's time in the Mallee Football League (SA), Murrayville won premierships in 2003 and 2005. After transitioning to the Murray Valley FNL in 2023, the Blues quickly established themselves as a leading side in the new competition, claiming back-to-back premierships in 2024 and 2025. The 2024 season was doubly successful, with both the football and A Grade Netball sides claiming premiership honours. The Murray Valley FNL, which also draws clubs from the Riverland region of South Australia, provides Murrayville with competition suited to its remote location on the Victorian-South Australian border.

Home Ground

The Blues play at Murrayville Oval (Reserve Road, Murrayville VIC 3512), situated in the heart of the township. The ground has hosted football in Murrayville since the club's founding and serves as the social and sporting hub of the community. Alongside the oval, the Murrayville Football Netball Club operates netball courts to support the club's combined football-netball program.

Community and Programs

The Murrayville Football Netball Club runs both football and netball programs, with teams across multiple grades reflecting its role as a key community institution in the Mallee. As one of the few Victorian clubs to compete in a South Australian-based league, the club maintains strong connections with communities on both sides of the border. Junior development programs are run from the oval, giving children in Murrayville and surrounding areas access to Australian rules football in a remote rural environment.

Murrayville

Murrayville is a small town in the North West region of Victoria, located on the Mallee Highway approximately 536 kilometres north-west of Melbourne and 268 kilometres east of Adelaide. At the 2016 Census the town had a population of 280, serving as a service centre for the surrounding Mallee farmland. The area is known for its vast wheat and grain farming operations, and the local school, Murrayville Community College, provides P-12 education for the town and surrounding districts.

The Blues compete in the Murray Valley Football Netball League and call Murrayville Oval home. Follow them on Facebook for news and match day updates.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
