Lakes Entrance Seagulls Banners - East Gippsland Football, Celebrated in Style
From milestone games to grand final runs, FootyBanners.com creates fully custom Seagulls banners that capture the spirit of footy and netball at Lakes Entrance and give the whole community a reason to celebrate.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options and provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone (for example, Toby Lane, #11, 100 Games). Banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper designed to handle a cold and windy Victorian coastal afternoon at the ground.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Seagulls players hit the same milestone in the same match, our Two Player banner honours them both in one standout design. Provide both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll take care of everything from there.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Celebrating 3 to 6 players at the same time? Our Team Banner option pulls them all together in one great design. Set a top-line message like "Fly Seagulls Fly!" and give your squad a run-through they'll always remember.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium, and Large, produced on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A great addition to the Seagulls clubrooms or a lasting memento for a supporter's home or games room.
Grand Final Banners
When the Seagulls are in the grand final, go all out with a banner in 4.5m or 5.5m. Top and bottom text is fully customised for Lakes Entrance Football Netball Club. Contact us for design and wording advice ahead of the big day.
About Lakes Entrance Seagulls Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Lakes Entrance Football Club was established in 1891, making it one of the oldest clubs in regional Victoria. The club originally competed in the Gippsland Football League (GFL), which served East Gippsland for much of the late 19th and early 20th century. When the GFL merged with the Bairnsdale District Football League in 1974 to form the modern East Gippsland Football League (EGFL), the Seagulls became founding members of the new competition.
Club History
The Seagulls have been competing in the EGFL continuously since its formation in 1974. Over more than five decades in the league, the club has claimed four senior premierships - in 1988, 1994, 1995, and 2003. The back-to-back flags in 1994 and 1995 remain among the most celebrated chapters in club history. One of the great individual performers in the EGFL's history came from Lakes Entrance: Wayne Reggardo was the league's leading goal kicker in 1982, 1987, 1989, and 1990, a record of sustained excellence that few players in the competition have matched.
Home Ground
The Seagulls play their home games at the Lakes Entrance Recreation Reserve, located in the heart of Lakes Entrance. The reserve is the hub of community sport in the town and serves as the gathering point for the local football community throughout the EGFL season from April to September each year.
Community and Programs
As the only Australian rules football club in Lakes Entrance, the Seagulls play a central role in the town's community life. The club provides pathways for junior players in the region, with many progressing through the local junior competitions before joining the senior squad. The club's annual match days draw strong support from the local community and visitors alike, reflecting the importance of football to the social fabric of this coastal town.
Lakes Entrance
Lakes Entrance is a town in the Shire of East Gippsland, situated approximately 321 kilometres east of Melbourne along the Princes Highway. The town is built beside a managed channel connecting the Gippsland Lakes - the largest system of inland waterways in the Southern Hemisphere - to Bass Strait. The town is known for its commercial fishing fleet, surf beach, tourism industry, and access to nearby national parks and the ninety-mile beach.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
