Nhill Tigers Banners - Celebrate Every Proud Moment

Whether it's a milestone game, an award night tribute, or a grand final run-through, FootyBanners.com helps Nhill Tigers players and supporters celebrate in style. Our custom banners are made to honour the moments that define a career.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner formats. To personalise your banner, supply the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Mason Clarke, #2, 100 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner will hold up through any cold Wimmera winter afternoon at Nhill Recreation Reserve.

Two Players, One Banner

Two Tigers hitting the same milestone? Our Two Player banner lets you celebrate both players together on a single banner. Provide each player's name, guernsey number, and the milestone being reached for a memorable shared tribute.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Recognise 3 to 6 players at once with our Team Banner option. A banner reading "Nhill Tigers - Our Champions" is a perfect centrepiece for your end-of-season presentation night or a premiership celebration in the Wimmera.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, our Wall Keepsake Banners are crafted on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks built to last for years. Hang them in the Tigers clubrooms, a garage, or a games room as a lasting tribute to a player's achievements.

About Nhill Tigers Football Club

Origins and Founding

Football in Nhill dates to 1883, when the original Nhill Football Club was first recorded playing in the region. The Nhill and District Sporting Club was formally established in 2001 through the amalgamation of the Nhill and District Football Club, the Nhill Netball Club, and two local cricket clubs - Nhill Red and Nhill Blue. In 2007, the Nhill Hockey Club joined the multi-sport organisation, bringing the club's current four-sport structure together. The football and netball sections compete under the Tigers banner in the Wimmera Football League (WFL), with Davis Park in Nhill serving as the club's home base.

Club History and Premierships

Nhill FC has won senior football premierships in 1904 (Football Association), 1932 (West Wimmera Football League), and four times in the Wimmera Football League: 1964, 1965, 1969 and 1981. The 1964 premiership was won via a grand final replay - the original match ended in a draw at 7.8 (50) apiece against Ararat. The 1969 and 1981 flags were won by significant margins. The club's most recent grand final appearance was in 2010. The Wimmera Football League's Toohey Medal for Best and Fairest has been claimed by Nhill players on multiple occasions, including Wes Warrick four times (1952, 1954, 1955, 1960), and Billy Hayes in 2017.

Home Ground

The Tigers play at Davis Park in Nhill, which Hindmarsh Shire Council owns and maintains. The club manages the oval itself, resulting in one of the best playing surfaces in western Victoria. Davis Park hosts the Tigers' home fixtures across football, netball, cricket, and hockey, making it a central community asset for the region.

Community and Programs

As a multi-sport club, Nhill and District Sporting Club provides programs for cricketers, footballers, hockey players, and netballers across all age groups. The junior and youth programs in football and netball ensure the club remains a vital pathway for young people in the Nhill district and surrounding farming communities of the Hindmarsh Shire. The club's integrated multi-sport structure means that many families are involved across more than one sport throughout the year.

Nhill and the Wimmera

Nhill is a town in the Wimmera region of western Victoria, located on the Western Highway roughly halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne. The town is the administrative centre of Hindmarsh Shire and recorded a population of 1,749 at the 2016 Census. The Wimmera region is characterised by its sweeping plains, agricultural heritage, and a strong tradition of community sport - with the Wimmera Football League, established well over a century ago, a key part of that culture.

The Tigers compete in the Wimmera Football League and call Davis Park home. Follow the Nhill Tigers on Facebook for match day updates and club news throughout the season. Follow them on Instagram for match day photos and highlights.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
