Whether it is a cool SA morning by the coast or a warm afternoon at the oval, your team will run out with extra spring in their step when they burst through their banner.
Simple to Order
Ordering an Encounter Bay banner is straightforward. Upload your player photo, add your message, and our design team takes it from there. You will receive a proof to review before anything is printed, so you can be confident in the final result before game day arrives.
Two Players, One Banner
Our two-player banner puts a pair of players front and centre on the one design. It is a popular choice for clubs that want to celebrate co-captains, a standout combination, or two players who have been instrumental all season long.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Honour the full squad with a group team banner. Ideal for end-of-season presentations, milestone nights, or any occasion that brings the whole club together to celebrate what the group has achieved as one unit.
Wall Keepsake Banners
A wall keepsake banner turns a great season into a permanent piece of club history. Display it in the clubrooms, give it as a gift to a long-serving volunteer, or hang it at home as a reminder of a year that will not be forgotten.
Grand Final Banners
When Encounter Bay reaches the grand final, make sure the occasion is treated with the respect it deserves. Our grand final banners are designed for the biggest day of the season and ensure every player runs out knowing exactly what is at stake.
About Encounter Bay Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Encounter Bay Football Club was founded in 1921 on the Fleurieu Peninsula south of Adelaide, South Australia. Australian rules football has deep roots in the region, with the nearby Goolwa Football Club established as far back as 1878, and local towns playing friendly matches throughout the late 19th century. Encounter Bay joined the Great Southern Football League two years after the club's founding, in 1921, and the Eagles have competed in the GSFL ever since. The club named a Team of the Century in 2021 as part of its centenary celebrations.
Club History
The Eagles have won the GSFL premiership 10 times - in 1940, 1958, 1960, 1961, 1965, 1967, 1989, 1996, 2013, and 2015. They have also been runners-up on 20 occasions, most recently in 2020. The club's remarkable consistency saw it named among the top 12 clubs across all competitions in South Australia by The South Australian Footballer in 2020. A notable chapter in the club's history came in the 2000s when former Adelaide Crows AFL star Tony Modra - renowned for his spectacular marking ability - played local football for Encounter Bay, kicking 100 goals in a season and drawing significant attention to the club. The Bays have been competitive at the top of the GSFL through successive eras of strong coaching and player development.
Home Ground
The Eagles play at Encounter Bay Oval, which is set in the picturesque coastal landscape of the Victor Harbor area on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The ground has served as the club's home throughout its history and provides a unique coastal setting for match days. The oval is a central part of the Encounter Bay community.
Community and Programs
Encounter Bay FC runs Auskick and junior programs for the local community, with junior coaches and Auskick coordinators ensuring that young players in the area have a pathway into the game. The club also has a strong history of women's involvement and community events. With over 3,500 Facebook followers, the Eagles have a lively social media presence reflecting their community standing.
Encounter Bay

Footy Banner Information
Material: All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using permanent inks which will not run, even if they get wet. They are fully recyclable.
How to Use: We recommend taping broomsticks or plastic pipe to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it. If you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through. There are instructions and images for how to cut these in the FAQ section below.
On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon! This is why we do not pre-cut them, and also so you can get photographs with your intact banner when it looks at it's best.
Tip: Some players choose to only cut one weak spot in their banner so it can be saved and displayed later by taping it back together on the back.Pro Tip: Cut the weak spot to one side of the mascot or team logo so it stays intact as well!
