About Two Wells Football and Netball Sporting Club

Origins and Founding

The Two Wells Football and Netball Sporting Club - known as the Roosters - is one of the oldest football clubs in South Australia's northern regions, with roots dating back to approximately 1911. Football was first played in the Two Wells area as early as 1908, and the club established itself in the Adelaide Plains Association during the 1920s, winning back-to-back premierships in 1928, 1929, and 1930. The club's long history reflects the agricultural character of the Two Wells community and its role as a social cornerstone for residents of the region.

Club History

Through the mid-20th century, Two Wells joined the Gawler and District Football Association in the early 1950s, and briefly merged with Virginia to compete in the Central Districts Football Association from 1961 to 1969. The Roosters returned to the Adelaide Plains competition from 1970 onward, and have been a foundation member of the current Adelaide Plains Football League (APFL) since 1989, where they continue to compete. The APFL is a country-style regional competition serving communities north of Adelaide, and Two Wells is one of its cornerstone clubs with more than a century of football heritage.

Home Ground

Two Wells Football and Netball Sporting Club is based in Two Wells, South Australia, playing at their local ground which serves the club's senior men's, women's, and junior programs. The facility is a central gathering point for the Two Wells community during the football and netball season.

Community and Programs

As a combined football and netball club, Two Wells FNSC provides sporting opportunities for people of all ages in their community. The club's netball program runs alongside the football season, and junior teams give young players from Two Wells and nearby townships a pathway into senior competition. The Roosters' longevity speaks to the club's deep roots in the local farming and rural community.

Two Wells

Two Wells is a town in the Adelaide Plains council area, located approximately 45 kilometres north of Adelaide. The town sits on the Horrocks Highway in South Australia's flat northern agricultural plains, and is surrounded by market gardens, vineyards, and broad-acre farming properties. Known for its fruit-growing and vegetable production, Two Wells is a tight-knit rural community where the football and netball club plays an important social role, particularly during the winter months.

The Roosters compete in the Adelaide Plains Football League and call Two Wells home. Visit the club website and follow them on Facebook for news and match day updates.

  • Footy Banner Information

All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using solvent inks which will not run, even if they get wet.

We recommend taping broomsticks to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it.  if you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through.

On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon!

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
