Two Players, One Banner

Two players side by side on one banner is a striking image. Whether it is co-captains, a standout duo, or two players who have been brilliant for Payneham Norwood Union all season, the two-player banner creates something both players and the whole club will be proud of.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Wall Keepsake Banners

About Payneham Norwood Union Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Payneham Norwood Union Football Club - known as the Falcons - was formed in 1995 through the amalgamation of two historic inner-eastern Adelaide clubs: Payneham Football Club (founded 1901) and Norwood Union Football Club (founded 1902). Both predecessor clubs had served their communities for nearly a century before uniting to form PNUFC, which operates in the Adelaide Footy League (AdFL) at Division 1 level. The Falcons are based at Payneham Oval in Payneham South and are one of the premier clubs in the metropolitan amateur competition.

Club History

Since formation in 1995, Payneham Norwood Union has established itself as a Division 1 powerhouse in the Adelaide Footy League. The Falcons have won back-to-back men's premierships in 2005 and 2006, then again in 2013 and 2014, before adding a Division 1 flag in 2019 under coach Garry McIntosh. They have appeared in multiple additional Division 1 Grand Finals, including 2015, 2017, and 2021, making them consistent finals contenders. The women's program has also flourished, winning the Women's Division 1 premiership in 2024. PNUFC competes in both men's and women's Division 1 of the AdFL, placing them among the most successful clubs in the competition's history.

Home Ground

The Falcons play their home games at Payneham Oval in Payneham South, South Australia. The ground has long been associated with football in the inner-eastern suburbs and provides facilities for the club's senior men's, women's, reserves, and junior teams throughout the season.

Community and Programs

PNUFC runs junior programs through the PNUFC Juniors (with their own Instagram account @pnufcjuniors), providing pathways for young players in the Payneham, Norwood, and surrounding areas. The club also fields women's teams across multiple grades, reflecting its commitment to developing the women's game at the elite amateur level in Adelaide.

Payneham and Norwood

Payneham is an inner-eastern suburb of Adelaide, located approximately 5 kilometres from the CBD in the City of Norwood Payneham and St Peters. The area is part of the established inner-east corridor that includes Norwood, St Peters, and Magill - a stretch of Adelaide known for its heritage architecture, café culture, and strong community identity. The two suburbs that give the club its name have combined to create one of the inner-east's most successful sporting organisations.

The Falcons compete in Division 1 of the Adelaide Footy League and call Payneham Oval home. Visit the club website, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.

  • Footy Banner Information

All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using solvent inks which will not run, even if they get wet.

We recommend taping broomsticks to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it.  if you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through.

On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon!

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
