About Hope Valley Junior Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Hope Valley Football Club in various forms has been present in Adelaide's north-eastern suburbs since 1906, making it one of the oldest football clubs in the northern areas of metropolitan Adelaide. Originally competing in red and black, the club adopted red and blue as its colours during the 1930s. The junior program - now operating independently as the Hope Valley Junior Football Club (HVJFC) - celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2004, with the broader club marking its centenary in 2006. The Demons, as they are known, play out of the picturesque Hope Valley Oval in the City of Tea Tree Gully.
Club History
Hope Valley's greatest era in the 1930s came during a temporary merger with its arch rival, the Tea Tree Gully Football Club. In 1937, TTG was unable to field a team and many players transferred to form Hope Valley United FC. During this period the merged club dominated the competition. In 1994, the Demons achieved promotion as premiers, defeating Old Ignatians in the grand final by 19 points. The 2008 season saw both senior and reserves grade teams reaching the premiership decider, with the reserves winning their unbeaten season with a 37-point victory over Hectorville. Recent highlights include 2019, when both the A and C grades won premierships. The senior and junior programs are affiliated with the SANFL Juniors competition, and the club competes in the Adelaide Footy League.
Home Ground
The Demons play at Hope Valley Oval, a ground set against the backdrop of the rolling Adelaide Hills. The oval's elevated position and scenic surroundings make it one of the more picturesque suburban grounds in metropolitan Adelaide. The clubrooms provide a balcony overlooking the oval, creating a welcoming atmosphere for families and supporters on match days. Hope Valley Oval has been the home of the club for generations.
Community and Programs
Hope Valley JFC runs junior programs from Under 7 to Under 17.5, welcoming boys and girls of all experience levels. The club describes itself as proud and family-friendly, with fair play, fun, fitness, and community at its core. New players are always welcome regardless of age or ability. The club is affiliated with the SANFL Juniors competition and works closely with the senior Hope Valley FC to create a pathway from junior through to senior football in the northern suburbs.

Footy Banner Information
All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using solvent inks which will not run, even if they get wet.
We recommend taping broomsticks to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it. if you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through.
On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon!
Return and Refund Policy
As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.
Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
