When Hectorville runs out on a cool Adelaide morning, a custom-designed FootyBanners.com run-through banner captures the spirit of a club with deep roots in the eastern suburbs. A great banner sets the tone and tells every player from the moment they burst through the paper that their club is behind them all the way.

Simple to Order

Ordering a Hectorville banner is easy. Upload a player photo, add the message you want, and our design team handles the rest. A proof is sent back for your sign-off before printing, so the finished banner is exactly right for game day.

Two Players, One Banner

Two Hectorville players side by side on one banner is a great way to recognise a standout combination or celebrate co-captains who have carried the club through a big season. The two-player banner creates an image the whole club will be proud of.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Celebrate the full squad with a team banner for end-of-season presentations or club milestone events. Every Hectorville player gets their moment in a group photograph that captures what the team achieved together across a hard season.

Wall Keepsake Banners

A wall keepsake banner is a permanent tribute to a great season or a memorable moment in Hectorville's history. Hang it in the clubrooms, gift it to a retiring club favourite, or display it at home as a lasting piece of Hectorville football history.

Grand Final Banners

When Hectorville makes the grand final, the occasion calls for a banner that rises to the moment. Our grand final banners are crafted for the biggest game of the season and ensure every player runs out knowing exactly what they are playing for.

About Hectorville Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Hectorville Football Club - known as the Hounds - is a community Australian rules football club based at Daly Oval, 31 Fisher Street, Magill, in Adelaide's eastern suburbs. The club is affiliated with the Hectorville Sports and Community Club (Heccies), which was established in 1964 and has grown into one of the most comprehensive multi-sport community organisations in Adelaide's east. In its earlier years, Hectorville competed in the East Torrens Football Association from 1961 to 1968 before joining later competitions. The club is now affiliated with the Adelaide Footy League for its senior competition and with the SANFL for its junior programs.

Club History

The Hectorville Football Club has competed across multiple grades and competitions throughout its history in Adelaide's eastern corridor. The club operates within the framework of Heccies - a broader sports and community club that describes its vision as "To be more than just a club." The football program has been a central pillar of the Heccies organisation since 1964, with the club developing players through its Auskick and junior pathways into senior competition. The Hounds have featured in finals campaigns across multiple divisions and continue to be competitive in the Adelaide Footy League's senior men's competition.

Home Ground

Hectorville's home ground is Daly Oval at 31 Fisher Street, Magill. The oval sits in picturesque surrounds, overlooked by the two-storey Heccies clubroom complex and backed by a view of the Adelaide Hills. The original facilities at Daly Oval were built in 1981 and have since been significantly upgraded with government and council support to provide a modern community hub. The ground also serves as the base for the Heccies netball, tennis, and social programs, making it a genuine year-round community facility.

Community and Programs

The Hectorville Football Club offers senior men's, senior women's, junior, and Auskick football programs within the Heccies umbrella. Junior football is run under SANFL affiliation on Sundays, while the senior men's and women's teams play in the Adelaide Footy League on Saturdays. The Auskick program for boys and girls aged 5 to 12 runs across multiple school terms, providing a fun and accessible entry point into Australian football for the Magill, Hectorville, and Campbelltown communities. The club's family-oriented atmosphere is a defining feature of its culture.

Magill and Hectorville

Magill is a suburb in the City of Campbelltown, located approximately 8 kilometres east of the Adelaide CBD at the foot of the Mount Lofty Ranges. Hectorville is an adjacent suburb, together forming a well-established residential area known for its leafy streets, proximity to the ranges, and strong community identity. The area is home to the University of South Australia's Magill campus and is within easy reach of the Adelaide Botanic Garden and Burnside Village. Campbelltown Council's investment in facilities like Daly Oval reflects the active and sport-loving character of the local community.

The Hounds compete in the Adelaide Footy League and call Daly Oval, Magill home. Visit the club website for more information, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.

  • Footy Banner Information

All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using solvent inks which will not run, even if they get wet.

We recommend taping broomsticks to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it.  if you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through.

On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon!

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
