Two Players, One Banner

Two Lions side by side on one banner is a powerful statement. Whether it is the co-captains, two players who have had a career season, or a pair of long-serving club legends, the two-player banner is one of our most popular and compelling designs.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Bring the whole squad together on a full team banner. Perfect for end-of-season presentations, milestone rounds, or a group photo that captures the whole Fitzroy Lions SA family in one frame. Every player gets their moment.

Wall Keepsake Banners

A wall keepsake banner preserves the memories of a great season long after the final siren of the year. Hang it in the change rooms, give it as a gift to a loyal club servant, or frame it at home as a permanent piece of Fitzroy Lions SA history.

Grand Final Banners

When the Fitzroy Lions SA make the grand final, the occasion calls for the best. Our grand final banners are crafted for the most important day of the season and ensure every player steps through the paper knowing what it means to be a Lion on that day.

About Fitzroy Lions Football Club (SA)

Origins and Founding

The Fitzroy Lions Football Club in South Australia was formed in 1987 through the merger of three clubs: Renown Park Football Club, Saint Peters YCW Football Club, and Saint Dominic's Football Club. Competing as part of the Fitzroy Community Club - a multi-sport club incorporating football, cricket, netball, and darts - the Lions are based in Renown Park, an inner northern suburb of Adelaide. The Fitzroy Community Club was named by the SANFL as one of the top 10 clubs for three consecutive years, reflecting its strong community standing.

Club History

The Fitzroy Lions joined the South Australian Amateur Football League (SAAFL) in 1987 and have worked their way through the divisions over nearly four decades. Premiership highlights include an A3 flag in 1995, two Division 5 flags in 2007, and three Division 6 titles in 2019. The Lions also claimed their most recent senior premiership in 2025 when the senior men's team won the Adelaide Footy League Division 6 flag, capping a remarkable two-year run that also included the Under 17.5 boys winning the 2024 grand final. The club's founding clubs had their own histories stretching back well before the 1987 merger, with Renown Park and St Dominic's being established Adelaide suburban clubs.

Home Ground

The Lions are based at their oval in Renown Park, which sits within the City of Charles Sturt local government area in Adelaide's inner western suburbs. The Fitzroy Community Club oval and licensed function venue are central to the club's identity, with the clubrooms providing a social hub for members and the broader community. The ground can be hired for functions with a kitchen and bar facilities.

Community and Programs

Fitzroy FC runs teams across all age groups from Under 6s through to Under 17s, as well as senior men's teams. The club's junior programs provide a pathway from Auskick through to senior football in the Adelaide Footy League, and its multi-sport community club model means young athletes can also participate in cricket and netball. The club specifically promotes itself as a supportive, family-friendly environment.

Renown Park

Renown Park is an inner northern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, located in the City of Charles Sturt. The suburb had a population of 1,663 at the 2021 census. A compact inner-suburban area, Renown Park borders suburbs including Prospect, Ovingham, and Brompton and sits approximately 3 kilometres north-west of the Adelaide CBD. The City of Charles Sturt in which it sits is one of Adelaide's most densely populated local government areas.

The Lions compete in the Adelaide Footy League and call Renown Park home. Visit the club website for more information and follow them on social media for news and match day updates.

  • Footy Banner Information

Material:  All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using permanent inks which will not run, even if they get wet.  They are fully recyclable.

How to Use:  We recommend taping broomsticks or plastic pipe to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it.  If you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through.  There are instructions and images for how to cut these in the FAQ section below.

On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon!  This is why we do not pre-cut them, and also so you can get photographs with your intact banner when it looks at it's best.

Tip: Some players choose to only cut one weak spot in their banner so it can be saved and displayed later by taping it back together on the back.

Pro Tip:  Cut the weak spot to one side of the mascot or team logo so it stays intact as well!

  • Return and Refund Policy
