Golden Grove Football Banners - Celebrating the Kookaburras' Rising Stars and Club Legends

Since the Kookaburras took their first steps in 1995, the Golden Grove Football Club has grown into one of Adelaide's most vibrant community clubs. FootyBanners.com is proud to help Golden Grove celebrate every player milestone with a custom banner that reflects the pride of the club.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banners. Provide the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, James Fowler, #21, 100 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your Kookaburras banner will hold up through every warm North East Adelaide afternoon.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Kookaburras reach the same milestone in the same game, our Two Player banner celebrates them both together. Supply both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll create a quality keepsake that the whole club and both families will be proud to display.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Three to six players, one outstanding banner - our Team Banner option is ideal for Golden Grove's milestone rounds, presentation nights, or end-of-season celebrations. Add a top-line message like "Golden Grove Kookaburras - Celebrating Our Champions" and finish with a tagline that captures the spirit of the club.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A lasting tribute for any Kookaburras player - whether displayed in the clubrooms at Harper's Field, in the garage, or in a supporter's games room.

Grand Final Banners

For the Golden Grove Football Club's biggest game of the season, our 4.5m and 5.5m Grand Final banners are fully customisable with personalised top and bottom text. Contact us for design guidance and let's make the Kookaburras' run-through something truly special.

About Golden Grove Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Golden Grove Football Club - known as the Kookaburras - was formed in 1995 to serve the rapidly growing Golden Grove residential development in Adelaide's north-eastern suburbs. The club initially played out of Greenwith Oval and the Greenwith Community Centre, but junior numbers grew so quickly that the club outgrew its temporary home within the first two years. Despite years of lobbying the local council for a permanent facility, the club spent nearly a decade in temporary arrangements before finally receiving the go-ahead for a permanent home at Harper's Field in 2004. The club moved to Harper's Field on One Tree Hill Road in 2005, where it has been based ever since.

Club History

The Golden Grove Kookaburras have climbed steadily through the Adelaide Footy League (AFL) divisions since their founding, winning six senior premierships: Division 6 in 2003, Division 5 in 2008, Division 4 in 2014, Division 3 in 2020 and 2022, and Division 2 in 2023. The 2017 season saw the club reach its first Division 3 Grand Final, narrowly losing to Brighton Bombers by 49 points, but securing promotion to Division 2 for the first time. The back-to-back Division 3 flags in 2020 and 2022 represented the club's most successful consecutive seasons, and the 2023 Division 2 premiership marks the highest level of senior success in the club's history. In 2017, the club also received a national grant to upgrade women's changerooms, and a $12 million government grant was approved in April 2021 for a major expansion of the Harper's Field facilities.

Home Ground

The Kookaburras play home games at Harper's Field on One Tree Hill Road, Golden Grove. The club has been at Harper's Field since 2005 and the facility has grown significantly in that time, with upgraded women's changerooms completed in 2017 and a $12 million council-supported expansion approved in 2021. The development ensures Harper's Field will continue to serve the Golden Grove football and wider sporting community for generations to come.

Community and Programs

Golden Grove fields five men's senior teams and women's and junior sides across multiple divisions of the Adelaide Footy League and junior competitions. The club competes in men's divisions M1, M1R, C1, C6, and C7, and women's divisions W2 and W2R, reflecting a club structure that caters to players at every level. The Kookaburras have a strong junior pathway program and have grown from a small community club into one of Adelaide's north-east most active football organisations, with over 550 registered players from the Greenwith, Golden Grove, and One Tree Hill corridor.

Golden Grove

Golden Grove is a master-planned residential suburb in the City of Tea Tree Gully, located approximately 20 kilometres north-east of the Adelaide CBD. The suburb was developed from the 1980s onward as one of Australia's largest planned residential communities, and is home to more than 25,000 residents. It is characterised by curvilinear streets, extensive parklands, and modern housing, and is bordered by Greenwith, Wynn Vale, and One Tree Hill. The suburb's relative youth means much of its community infrastructure - including Harper's Field - has been purpose-built, giving the Kookaburras a modern base that matches the suburb's contemporary character.

The Kookaburras compete in the Adelaide Footy League and call Harper's Field, Golden Grove home. Visit the club website for more information, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.

  • Footy Banner Information

Material:  All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using permanent inks which will not run, even if they get wet.  They are fully recyclable.

How to Use:  We recommend taping broomsticks or plastic pipe to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it.  If you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through.  There are instructions and images for how to cut these in the FAQ section below.

On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon!  This is why we do not pre-cut them, and also so you can get photographs with your intact banner when it looks at it's best.

Tip: Some players choose to only cut one weak spot in their banner so it can be saved and displayed later by taping it back together on the back.

Pro Tip:  Cut the weak spot to one side of the mascot or team logo so it stays intact as well!

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.
