FootyBanners.com is proud to help Greensbrough College celebrate every football milestone with a fully custom banner that brings the whole school community together for a moment to remember.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options and provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone (for example, Alex Park, #5, 50 Games). Banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper built to handle a cold Melbourne afternoon at the oval.
Two Players, One Banner
Two players sharing the same milestone on the same day? Our Two Player banner brings them both together in one quality design. Provide both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll take care of the rest.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Celebrating 3 to 6 players at once? Our Team Banner option covers everyone in one great design. Set a top-line message like "Go Greensbrough!" and give the team something to run through with pride on game day.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are produced on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A brilliant keepsake for the school's sports hall or a home display celebrating a great school football career.

About Greensbrough College
Origins and Founding
Greensborough College is a co-educational government secondary school located at 155 Nell Street, Greensborough, Victoria, catering for students from Year 7 to Year 12. The college was originally known as Greensborough Secondary College and was established through the amalgamation of Watsonia High School and nearby secondary schools in the early 1990s. Greensborough is served by the Greensborough College website, where the school's sporting programs and community activities are regularly profiled. The college prides itself on a strong sporting tradition and competitive presence in local school competitions.
School History and Sport
Greensborough College competes in interschool sport through School Sport Victoria (SSV), with teams fielded across a range of sports including Australian rules football. The college's Athlete Development Program (ADP), which enrolled over 120 students as of 2023, provides a structured curriculum pathway for talented athletes that combines strength and conditioning, sports science, and competition preparation. ADP athletes have represented Victoria in national school competitions across multiple sports. The school's interschool sport program allows all students to compete in SSV events from cross-country to football, building skills both on and off the field.
Home Ground
Greensborough College's sports facilities were significantly upgraded as part of the Victorian Government's North East Link sports compensation program - a component of a $68 million investment in local sporting facilities. The new facilities, completed and opened for community use in 2021, include a natural turf AFL/cricket oval measuring 160 metres by 135 metres, a synthetic soccer pitch, a new pavilion overlooking the oval, scoreboards, field lighting, cricket nets and an expanded car park. According to Victoria's Big Build, the upgraded oval is now shared with Watsonia Heights Football Club, Macleod Junior Football Club and Macleod Cricket Club, making it a genuine community hub for sport in the area.
Community and Programs
In addition to the ADP, Greensborough College runs a comprehensive House Events program that gives every student the opportunity to participate in competitive sport. The school's sports facilities are open to community clubs outside school hours, with the oval regularly hosting junior and senior football training sessions. The Melbourne Polytechnic campus in Greensborough, which reopened in 2017 following a $10 million state government investment, sits in the same precinct, strengthening the area's reputation as an education and community centre. The school welcomes enrolments from across the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
