Hackham Hawks Banners - Soaring Celebrations for Every Milestone

From the first-game excitement to a well-earned 200-game tribute, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners that give the Hackham Hawks the recognition they deserve. Let us help you celebrate every milestone moment your players have worked hard to reach.

Simple to Order

Select from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banners. Provide the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Chris Sullivan, #8, 150 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner will stand strong through every bracing South Australian match day.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Hackham Hawks hit the same milestone in the same game, celebrate them both on one quality Two Player banner. Just provide both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll take care of the rest - a lasting keepsake for the club and families alike.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Bring three to six Hackham Hawks players together in one banner with our Team Banner option - a great way to cap off a milestone round or presentation night. Add a top-line message like "Hackham Hawks - Taking Flight Together" and finish with a tagline that captures the club's spirit.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium, and Large, produced on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Whether they hang in the Hawks' clubrooms, a player's garage, or a fan's games room, they'll look great for years to come.

Grand Final Banners

For the Hackham Hawks' biggest game of the season, our 4.5m and 5.5m Grand Final banners are fully customisable with your choice of top and bottom text. Reach out for design advice and let's create a run-through banner worthy of the occasion.

About Hackham Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Hackham Football Club was first formed in 1976, establishing Australian rules football as a community sport in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. In 1977 the club started in the Southern Football League (SFL) Division 3 competition, playing against C-Grade teams of established clubs as it built its foundations. In 1978, Hackham became an inaugural member of the restructured Division 2 competition, beginning a long association with the SFL that would span more than four decades. The club wears the nickname the Hawks and plays in brown and gold.

Club History

The Hackham Hawks earned promotion to SFL Division 1 in 1984, signalling the club's arrival as a competitive force in Adelaide's southern suburbs. After dropping back in 1986, the club returned to Division 1 in 1992 and remained in the top division until 2016 - a remarkable 24-year run. The club's best periods produced premierships in 1990 (SFL Division 2 senior and B-Grade), 1991 (SFL B-Grade Division 2, undefeated), and 1996 (SFL B-Grade Division 1). In 2005 the club briefly rebranded as the Southern Hawks Football Club, but reverted to the Hackham name in 2007. Since 2021, Hackham's senior grades have competed in the Adelaide Footy League (AFL), while the women's and junior programs continue in the Southern Football League. Chris Hall, a former Port Adelaide AFL player, is the club's only VFL/AFL product to date.

Home Ground

The Hackham Hawks play their home matches at Hackham Oval, Holly Reserve. Holly Reserve is a multi-sport community facility and one of the main recreational spaces in the Hackham area. The oval has hosted Hackham football since the club's earliest seasons and continues to serve as the hub of the club's senior, women's, and junior programs throughout the year.

Community and Programs

The Hackham Football Club fields senior men's teams in the Adelaide Footy League, along with women's and junior teams that compete in the Southern Football League. The junior and women's programs maintain the club's connection to its SFL roots and ensure community football pathways exist for players of all ages in the Hackham area. The club has faced the challenges common to many outer-suburban community clubs over its 50-year history, including restructuring its grades and competition structures, but has consistently maintained its presence in the local football landscape.

Hackham

Hackham is a suburb in the City of Onkaparinga, located approximately 29 kilometres south of the Adelaide CBD. It is part of Adelaide's outer southern suburbs, neighbouring Morphett Vale and Christie Downs within the Onkaparinga corridor. The area is predominantly residential with a mix of established housing and newer development, and is served by Colonnades Shopping Centre in nearby Noarlunga Centre. The southern suburbs region has a strong tradition of community sport, with football, cricket, and netball all forming part of the local sporting fabric.

The Hawks compete in the Adelaide Footy League and call Hackham Oval, Holly Reserve home. Visit the club website for more information, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.

  • Footy Banner Information

All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using solvent inks which will not run, even if they get wet.

We recommend taping broomsticks to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it.  if you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through.

On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon!

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
