Hedland Reds Banners - Celebrate Every Reds Achievement
Whether it's a player's first milestone or a major club achievement, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners that do justice to every Hedland Reds moment. Each banner is made specifically for the Reds, giving every celebration a personal and professional touch.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options. You'll need the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Jake Pearce, #5, 50 Games. All Reds banners use permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, ready to hold up under the blazing WA afternoon sun in Port Hedland.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Hedland Reds players reach the same milestone in the same game, our Two Player banner brings both stories together in one quality keepsake. Provide each player's name, guernsey number, and the shared milestone and we'll create something they'll both be proud of.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Our Team Banner option fits 3 to 6 players and is perfect for group milestones or end-of-season recognition. A top-line message like "Hedland Reds - Premiers" sets a celebratory tone that the whole club will love. Go the Reds!
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Hang your Reds banner in the clubrooms, garage, or games room and relive the pride of a special Hedland Reds season.

About Hedland Reds JFC
Origins and Founding
The Hedland Reds Football Club was established in 1984 and has been proudly providing opportunities for juniors to play Australian Rules football in the Hedland community for over 40 years. The club is affiliated with both the Hedland Junior Football Association (HJFA) and the West Pilbara Junior Football League (WPJFL), competing in both competitions each season. The club plays on Kariyarra Country and acknowledges the Kariyarra People as the Traditional Owners of the Hedland area, along with the Nyamal and Ngarla Peoples of the surrounding regions.
Club History
Over four decades, the Hedland Reds have built a proud record in the Pilbara's junior football competitions. Notable recent successes include the 2021 grand final, in which the Under-17s side completed an undefeated season by defeating the Karratha Falcons by 36 points at Kevin Scott Oval. The Reds also contested grand finals in 2018 against the Karratha Falcons, continuing a healthy rivalry that stretches across the Pilbara. The club competes across multiple age groups each season in the HJFA competition, developing young footballers from the Hedland and surrounding communities from the junior grades through to youth competition.
Home Ground
The Hedland Reds play their home games at Kevin Scott Oval in South Hedland, with games also held at Colin Matheson Reserve. Kevin Scott Oval serves as the main training and match base for the club, with training sessions held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. The oval has hosted numerous HJFA and WPJFL grand finals over the years, including the notable Reds versus Falcons clashes that have drawn crowds from both Hedland and Karratha.
Community and Programs
The HJFA's mission is to provide children with the opportunity to play AFL junior football in a safe and fun environment, with the Reds at the heart of that mission since 1984. The association is committed to engaging all within the Hedland and surrounding communities through football. The club values of Engage, Inspire and Grow underpin the Reds' approach to developing both footballers and community members. The club runs a Reds Shop and maintains an active registration program for players across all grades, including mixed grades for younger age groups.
Port Hedland
Port Hedland (Kariyarra: Marapikurrinya) is the second largest town in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, located 1,322 kilometres north of Perth and 612 kilometres from Broome. According to the Port Hedland Wikipedia article, the urban area recorded a population of 15,298 at the 2021 census, including the satellite town of South Hedland 18 kilometres away. Port Hedland is one of the world's busiest bulk export ports and serves as the service hub for the Pilbara's vast iron ore and resource industry. The town has a rich multicultural community and Australian rules football is one of its most popular sporting codes.
The Hedland Reds compete in the HJFA and WPJFL competitions and call Kevin Scott Oval, South Hedland home. Visit the club website or follow them on Facebook for fixtures, results and registration information.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
