The Hobart Football Club - the Tigers - is one of Tasmania's most celebrated football clubs. FootyBanners.com creates custom banners to help Tigers supporters celebrate every milestone, from first games to special anniversaries.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options. Provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, James Walker, #3, 100 Games. Banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper, built to last through a Hobart winter at the TCA Ground.
Two Players, One Banner
Two Tigers hitting milestones in the same game? Our Two Player Banner honours both achievements on one quality banner. Just provide each player's name and guernsey number and we'll handle the rest.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
The Team Banner option features 3 to 6 players, ideal for end-of-season presentations and squad nights. A top-line message like "Hobart Tigers - TCA Ground Proud" captures the club's heritage perfectly. A fantastic way to celebrate the whole squad.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A lasting keepsake for the Tigers clubrooms or a supporter's home - something to treasure for years.
Grand Final Banners
Our Grand Final Banners come in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, fully customised with top and bottom text for the Hobart Tigers. Contact us for design advice to make your grand final banner truly unforgettable.
About Hobart Tigers Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Hobart Football Club was founded on 19 December 1944, carrying on the football tradition of the earlier Cananore Football Club, which had been established in 1901 and won 11 Tasmanian Football League (TFL) premierships before ceasing during World War II. The newly formed Hobart Football Club adopted the nickname Tigers and entered the TFL in 1945, quickly establishing itself as one of Tasmania's most powerful clubs. The club is widely known today as the "Blumers Lawyers" Hobart Tigers, playing under a naming rights sponsorship arrangement.
Club History
The Tigers went on to become one of the dominant clubs of the TFL and later the TANFL, winning ten premierships between 1950 and 1990. Key premiership years include 1950, 1954, 1959, 1960, 1963, 1966, 1973, 1980, 1986, and 1990. The club transitioned to the Southern Football League (SFL) in 1998 and has remained a core member of Tasmania's state-level competition ever since. In 2025, the club was named Good Sports Tasmanian Club of the Year by the Alcohol and Drug Foundation, a recognition of the club's outstanding contribution to the community.
Home Ground
The Hobart Tigers call the iconic TCA Ground their home. Situated in the heart of Hobart, the Tasmania Cricket Association ground is one of the city's great sporting venues, hosting football, cricket, and community events. The ground serves as the focal point for match days, social functions, and the "Restore the Roar" community drive that is central to the club's identity in recent seasons.
Community and Programs
The Hobart Football Club fields teams across a wide range of age groups and competitions, including Auskick, Junior Boys and Girls, Reserve Grade, Senior Mens, Women's, and a Masters program for both men and women. With a playing membership of around 180 participants and a broad supporter base, the club is deeply embedded in Hobart's community. The club regularly hosts social and cultural events at the TCA Ground and is focused on growing the next generation of Tigers supporters and players.
Hobart
Hobart is the capital city of Tasmania and the second-oldest capital city in Australia, with a population of approximately 240,000 in the Greater Hobart area. Situated at the base of Mount Wellington and on the banks of the Derwent River, Hobart is known for its convict heritage, vibrant food and arts scene, and the famous MONA museum. It is the southernmost capital city in Australia.
The Tigers compete in the Southern Football League and play at the TCA Ground. Visit the official Hobart FC website for fixtures, membership, and news. Follow the club on Facebook and on Instagram.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
