Immanuel Doves Banners - South Australian Football, Celebrated with Pride

Whether it's a milestone game, a standout season, or a finals run, FootyBanners.com creates fully custom Doves banners that honour every achievement for players and families in this close-knit South Australian club.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options and provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone (for example, Ben Hartmann, #11, 100 Games). Banners are produced with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper that holds up through a blazing South Australian afternoon at the ground.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Doves players reach the same milestone in the same match, our Two Player banner celebrates both in one great design. Provide both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll take care of everything from there.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

For groups of 3 to 6 players celebrating together, our Team Banner option covers everyone in one powerful design. Set a top-line message like "Fly Doves Fly!" and give your squad a run-through that the whole club will remember.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A brilliant keepsake for the Doves clubrooms or a home display celebrating a great career at Immanuel.

Grand Final Banners

When the Doves are playing for the flag, step up with a Grand Final banner in 4.5m or 5.5m. Top and bottom text is fully customised for Immanuel Doves Football Club. Contact us for wording and design support ahead of the day.

About Immanuel Doves Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Immanuel Doves take their name and identity from Immanuel College, a Lutheran co-educational day and boarding school in Novar Gardens, Adelaide. The college was founded by Pastor Georg Leidig in 1895, originally established at Point Pass north of Eudunda, before moving to North Adelaide in 1921 and then relocating to its current Novar Gardens campus in 1949. The "Doves" nickname derives from the college emblem - a dove - which also features in the design of the college's sports and arts centres. Immanuel College competes in the Sports Association for Adelaide Schools (SAAS) football competitions.

Club History

Immanuel College has a long and distinguished football history within South Australian school sport. The school's First XVIII program achieved an undefeated season in 1975, a milestone still celebrated in the college's sporting culture. The girls' football program won back-to-back IGSSA premierships in 2017 and 2018. The college's boys' First XVIII teams compete at Div 1 and Div 2 level within SAAS, winning a Division 2 Grand Final in 2024. Immanuel College has produced a number of notable footballers who have gone on to play at SANFL and AFL level, including Roger Luders (West Adelaide), Shaun Rehn (Adelaide Crows and Carlton), Don Lindner (winner of the 1967 Magarey Medal), Julian Burton, and Dean Ottens, who went on to win VFL and AFL premierships as a ruckman.

Home Ground

Immanuel College is located on Morphett Road, Novar Gardens, and has three dedicated ovals on campus, making it one of the better-resourced school football programmes in South Australia. The campus also includes a modern Sports Centre open 16 hours a day, a ten-lane pool, gym and dedicated facilities for athlete development. The ovals are also used in partnership with the broader community through the Immanuel College sports facility program.

Community and Programs

Football is one of more than 25 sports offered at Immanuel College, with over 150 teams competing across the various SAAS grades. The college runs athlete development programs that blend sports science, physiology and biomechanics with on-field development. The school's Lutheran community heritage means that the Doves also connect with local Lutheran churches and the broader German-descended community across the inner south-west of Adelaide. The college has established a strong Girls AFL program led by experienced coaching staff, and the Doves name carries a strong sense of community pride for students, staff and old scholars alike.

Novar Gardens

Novar Gardens is an inner south-western suburb of Adelaide, located in the City of West Torrens. With a population of 2,508 recorded in the 2021 census, it is a compact residential suburb adjacent to Glenelg North and Glenelg East. The suburb was named in honour of Ronald Munro Ferguson, Viscount Novar, who served as Governor-General of Australia from 1914 to 1920 and visited the area in 1919. Novar Gardens is close to both the Glenelg beachside precinct and Adelaide Airport, and is well-connected to the Adelaide CBD via the Glenelg tram route.

The Doves compete under the Immanuel College banner and are based at Immanuel College, Novar Gardens. Visit the Immanuel College website for more information about the school and its football programs.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
