The Inverloch Kongwak Sea Eagles have been playing football on the Bass Coast since 1920, and with 8 premierships to their name - including 2017 and 2023 WGFNC titles - there is no shortage of milestones worth celebrating. FootyBanners.com creates custom banners that honour every player and every game in the proud tradition of this great club.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options, each made with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper. Simply provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone and we will handle the rest. Perfect for a crisp Macedon Ranges morning at the Tigers' home ground.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Tigers hit the same milestone in the same match, our Two Player banner is the perfect way to celebrate them both on one quality piece. Supply both names and guernsey numbers and we will create something worthy of the occasion.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Celebrate three to six players at once with our Team Banner option. A top-line message like "Lancefield Tigers - Hunt as One!" brings the whole squad together for an end-of-season celebration the club will always remember.

About Inverloch Kongwak Football Netball Club

Origins and Founding

Inverloch Kongwak Football Netball Club was founded in 1920, making it one of the older football clubs in South Gippsland, Victoria. The club draws players from the townships of Inverloch and Kongwak, two coastal communities on the Bass Coast. For much of its history the club competed in the Bass Valley Wonthaggi District Football League (BVWDFL), where it developed a strong identity on the Bass Coast before the restructuring of local football in Victoria prompted a move to a larger competition in 1996.

Club History

The Sea Eagles joined the Alberton Football Netball League in 1996 as part of a wider restructuring of Victorian country football, competing there until 2016. In 2017 the club was a founding member of the newly formed West Gippsland Football Netball Competition (WGFNC). That inaugural season proved immediately successful, with Inverloch-Kongwak claiming the 2017 WGFNC premiership with a 15.18 (162) to 4.7 (31) victory over Cora Lynn at Wonthaggi Recreation Reserve on 16 September 2017. The club followed this with another WGFNC premiership in 2023, defeating Phillip Island 10.15 (75) to 6.4 (40) at Koo Wee Rup Recreation Reserve on 16 September 2023. Across all competitions, the Sea Eagles have won 8 premierships (1966, 1968, 1973, 1983, 1985, 1986, 2017, 2023), making them one of the most decorated clubs in the Bass Coast region.

Home Ground

The Sea Eagles play their home games at Inverloch Recreation Reserve in Inverloch, a coastal town on Anderson Inlet. The ground provides a scenic backdrop for football on the Bass Coast and has served the club across multiple decades and competitions. The reserve also hosts the club's netball program, reflecting the club's dual football and netball identity.

Community and Programs

Inverloch Kongwak competes in both football and netball through the WGFNC, with senior, reserves, under-18, and under-16 grades in football, and multiple netball grades. The club's programs draw from the communities of Inverloch, Kongwak, and the surrounding Bass Coast area, including Wonthaggi and Kilcunda. Its junior development activities help nurture local talent from the coast and hinterland for progression into senior ranks.

Inverloch

Inverloch is a coastal town of about 6,526 people (2021 census) located 143 kilometres south-east of Melbourne in the Bass Coast Shire of Gippsland, Victoria. The town is situated on Anderson Inlet and is well known as a popular destination for swimming, surfing, kitesurfing, and fishing. Inverloch is also notable for the discovery of Australia's first dinosaur bone. The broader Kongwak district lies inland in the South Gippsland hinterland.

The Sea Eagles compete in the West Gippsland Football Netball Competition and call Inverloch Recreation Reserve home. Visit the club page on the WGFNC website for fixtures and news.

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
