Jindalee Jags Banners - Celebrate Every Jags Milestone
From a player's 50-game milestone to a grand final appearance out west, FootyBanners.com makes it easy to honour every Jags moment that matters. Our custom footy banners are built for supporters who live and breathe Jindalee football.
Simple to Order
Choose from a Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final Banner to suit the occasion. For single player milestones, simply provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and achievement - for example, Tom Fisher, #17, 100 Games. Our banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper - built to hold up under even the most sweltering Queensland afternoon on the sideline.
Two Players, One Banner
Two Jags players reaching the same milestone on the same day? Our Two Player Banner celebrates them both together. Both players must share the same milestone, and you'll need each player's name and guernsey number. A great way to mark a special match day moment.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Rally the whole squad with a Team Banner featuring 3 to 6 players. Add a top-line message like "Jags - Brisbane Premiers" and make the moment official. Whether it's a milestone round or a flags campaign, a Team Banner brings the whole club together.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Perfect for the Jags clubrooms, your garage, or your games room - a lasting reminder of what it means to be a Jindalee Jag.
Grand Final Banners
When the Jindalee Jags line up for the biggest game of the season, the banner needs to match the moment. Grand Final Banners are available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with fully customised top and bottom text. Contact us for design advice and we'll help make it something the Jags will never forget.
About Jindalee Jags AFC
Origins and Founding
Jindalee Jags Australian Football and Netball Club was founded in 1971, making it the first sporting club established in what is now known as Brisbane's Centenary Suburbs. The club was formed to serve the rapidly growing residential communities west of the Brisbane River, providing a home for Australian Rules Football in a part of the city that had no such competition at the time. From its earliest years, the Jags built a reputation not only for on-field competition but for community leadership, a tradition that has defined the club ever since.
Club History
The Jags compete in AFL Queensland competitions across junior, youth, and senior age groups. The club's senior men's program has gone through various periods, with a stand-alone senior men's team last competing in 1986 before a return to senior competition in the 2017 season. The Jags have consistently been one of Brisbane's most progressive clubs in expanding access to the game. In 2024, the club's Senior Women's Team claimed a premiership, and that women's program is scheduled to continue in 2025. Jindalee Jags entered the 2025 season expecting to field more than 20 registered teams across all age groups, reflecting the sustained growth the club has achieved.
The Jags hold several firsts in Queensland football. They were the first club in the Brisbane region to formally recognise the interest and potential of girls and women in Australian Rules Football, building women's and girls' competitions across multiple age groups well before it became standard practice. The club was also the first in Brisbane to offer an All-Abilities Program, running inclusive football sessions on Friday afternoons throughout the season, and the first club in Australia to sign the Women and Girls Community Football Charter, a commitment to equity in opportunities, visibility, access, and investment for women and girls across all aspects of the club.
Home Ground
The Jags play out of the JAGS Oval on Wongaburra Street, Jindalee, which serves as the club's main competition ground and training base. A second facility, JSS Oval, is also available to the club for use during the season. The Wongaburra Street grounds sit in the residential heart of Jindalee and have been the club's home base throughout much of its more than 50-year history. The club's clubhouse on the same site hosts working bees, social events, and community activities through the football season and beyond.
Community and Programs
The Jags run one of Brisbane's most comprehensive community football programs. Auskick is available for children from four to eight years of age, junior competitions cater to girls, boys, and mixed teams from Under 8.5 to Under 11.5, and youth competitions cover Under 13.5 to Under 17.5 across both boys and girls. Senior registrations are open to men's, reserve men's, and women's players aged 18 and over. The club keeps registration fees among the lowest in Brisbane as a deliberate commitment to keeping the game accessible, and the Queensland Government's $200 FairPlay Voucher is accepted for eligible players. All registered players from Under 8s to Seniors receive a club polo and team photo as part of their registration.
Jindalee
Jindalee is a south-western residential suburb of Brisbane, located approximately 15 kilometres south-west of the Brisbane CBD and bordered to the north by the Brisbane River. With a population of around 5,320 people recorded in the 2021 Census, Jindalee is part of the Centenary Suburbs group that grew substantially during the 1970s and 1980s as Brisbane expanded westward. The suburb is predominantly residential in character, with the Jindalee Golf Course among its notable local landmarks. The Centenary Motorway passes through the area, giving residents good access to both the city centre and neighbouring suburbs.
The Jags compete across AFL Queensland competitions and call the JAGS Oval on Wongaburra Street, Jindalee home. To find out more, visit the club's website at jindaleejags.majestri.com.au, follow them on Facebook, or on Instagram.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
