From a player's 50th game to a hard-fought grand final, FootyBanners.com makes it easy to celebrate every moment with a custom banner made just for your Blues. Whether it's a player milestone, a team achievement, or a finals run to remember, we've got you covered.
Simple to Order
Order a Single Player Banner by providing the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Matt Smith, #43, 150 Games. Our banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper built to handle even the bitterest Melbourne winter. The Blues won't be the only thing tough enough to take on the conditions.
Two Players, One Banner
Celebrating two Blues at once? Our Two Player Banner lets you honour both players on a single banner - just provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the milestone being celebrated. Same great quality, twice the occasion.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Bring the whole squad together with a Team Banner featuring 3 to 6 players. Set the tone with a top-line message like "Keilor Blues - Legends of the EDFL" and let your club run through it with pride. The perfect way to celebrate a season to remember.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks - perfect for displaying in the clubrooms, the garage, or the games room. A lasting reminder of what it means to be a Blue.
Grand Final Banners
Available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, our Grand Final Banners can be fully customised with your top and bottom text. If you're heading into finals, contact us early for personalised design advice for the Keilor Football Club.
About Keilor Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Keilor Football Club, nicknamed the Blues, is one of the oldest football clubs in Victoria's north-west, founded in 1877 at a general meeting held at the Waggoner's Arms Hotel in Keilor. The club played exhibition matches for decades before joining the Keilor and Broadmeadows Football League (KBFL) as a founding member in 1926, winning the inaugural KBFL premiership that same year and adding a second in 1928. In 1932, the club defected to the Essendon District Football League (EDFL), the competition it has called home ever since.
Club History
After limited success in the EDFL's early years, Keilor won its first B Grade premiership in 1968 and was promoted to A Grade - now the Premier Division. The Blues' first A Grade premiership came in 1973, and the club has since established itself as one of the EDFL's most successful sides. Premier Division premierships have followed in 1985, 1988, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2008, 2016, 2019, and most recently 2024, giving the club 12 Premier Division titles and 15 EDFL premierships overall. The 2019 flag was particularly notable: the Blues went undefeated across 20 games - winning both the minor premiership and the premiership in the same season for the first time in club history. Keilor has also won the Reserves Premier Division 12 times. Former Collingwood and Carlton midfielder Mick McGuane has served as the club's senior coach for extended periods, winning the 2008 and 2016 premierships.
Notable players to emerge from Keilor and go on to VFL/AFL careers include Mark Harvey (Essendon), Ivan Maric (Richmond and Adelaide), James Sicily (Hawthorn), Corey Ellis (Richmond), Michael Rischitelli (Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast), and Daniel Venables (West Coast Eagles).
Home Ground
The Blues' home ground is Joe Brown Oval at Keilor Recreation Reserve in Keilor. The ground is named in honour of a long-serving club identity and also serves as the base for the Keilor Cricket Club. The reserve provides year-round sporting facilities for the local community and is the central hub for Keilor's football, women's, and junior programs.
Community and Programs
Keilor FC operates senior men's, reserves, women's, and junior programs within the EDFL. The women's program has been active since 2017, when Keilor entered the inaugural Western Region and Essendon District Women's Football League (WREDWFL) and won the first ever premiership, going through the season undefeated. The club's junior program provides pathways from Auskick through to under-18 level, feeding into one of the EDFL's most successful senior programs.
Keilor
Keilor is a suburb in Melbourne's north-west, approximately 18 kilometres from the CBD in the City of Brimbank. Originally a rural township on the Maribyrnong River, the area retains some of its historic character alongside modern suburban development. Keilor is part of one of Melbourne's most historically significant north-west corridors, with heritage sites including the Keilor Plains archaeological dig sites, some of the oldest evidence of human habitation in Australia.
The Keilor Blues compete in the Essendon District Football League and call Joe Brown Oval home. For more information, visit the Keilor FC website, follow the club on Facebook, or find them on Instagram.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
