Kwinana Knights Banners - Celebrating Over 60 Years of WA Football

When a Kwinana Knights player earns a milestone worth marking, FootyBanners.com is ready to help you celebrate it with a custom banner. From 50-game tributes to grand final run-throughs, we create banners that do justice to every proud Knights moment.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner formats. To personalise your banner, provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Blake Murdoch, #17, 100 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner will hold up through any blazing WA afternoon out at Medina Oval.

Two Players, One Banner

Two Knights reaching the same milestone on the same day? Our Two Player banner puts both players front and centre. Just supply each player's name, guernsey number, and milestone for a standout shared celebration the whole club will love.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Honour 3 to 6 players at once with our Team Banner option. A banner reading "Kwinana Knights - Our Champions" is the perfect centrepiece for your presentation night or a premiership celebration - a moment the Knights faithful will cherish.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, our Wall Keepsake Banners are made from thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks built to last. Hang them in the Knights clubrooms, a garage, or the rumpus room as a proud reminder of a player's journey at Kwinana.

Grand Final Banners

Take the field in style with a Grand Final banner in 4.5m or 5.5m, fully customised with your top and bottom text. Contact us for design advice to ensure the Kwinana Knights Football Club runs out looking absolutely brilliant on the big day.

About Kwinana Knights

Origins and Founding

The Kwinana Knights Football Club was established in 1961 as the Medina Football Club, with the club's first game played in 1962. The original team competed as the "Redlegs" in red and white. In the 1970s the club ran a naming competition that produced a new identity - the Knights, wearing royal blue, red and white - the colours still worn today. The club has competed across several Western Australian leagues including the North Murray Football League, the Metropolitan Football League, and the Peel Football League, before commencing in the Perth Football League (formerly the Western Australian Amateur Football League) in 2014, starting in C4 Grade.

Club History

After three seasons in C4 Grade finishing eighth, third and fifth, the Knights qualified for their first grand final in 2017 only to lose to Secret Harbour by 22 points. Promoted to C3 Grade, the Knights reached a second consecutive grand final in 2018 before again falling short, this time to Coolbinia, earning promotion to C2 Grade where they continue to compete. The club has produced notable AFL talent; Daniel Wells, born 1985, was selected with the number-2 national pick in the 2002 AFL Draft and went on to play for North Melbourne; Farren Ray, born 1986, played 205 AFL games with St Kilda, the Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne; and Steven Verrier was selected as an AFL rookie in 2011. The men's senior League side competes in C1 Division of the Perth Football League.

Home Ground

The Knights play home games at Medina Oval, located at 39 Brownell Crescent in Medina. Medina Oval is the long-standing base for the Kwinana Knights Football Club and is located in the heart of the Kwinana community. The clubrooms were built in 1977 and the ground has hosted the club's matches throughout its decades of competition in the Perth and south metropolitan regions.

Community and Programs

The Kwinana Knights field four senior teams and also support a thriving junior program through the Kwinana Junior Knights Football Club. The broader Kwinana district is served by a strong volunteer base that has kept the club active for more than six decades. Junior development and Auskick programs are available to introduce the next generation of players to Australian rules football in the Kwinana community.

Kwinana

Kwinana is a coastal city and local government area located approximately 40 kilometres south of Perth, Western Australia, on the shore of Cockburn Sound. The area was established from land annexed from Rockingham in the mid-1950s and developed rapidly as an industrial and residential centre. The City of Kwinana is known for its heavy industrial presence, including oil refining and chemical manufacturing, alongside residential suburbs including Medina, Calista, Parmelia and others. The Kwinana community has a strong blue-collar history and the football club has been central to community life since 1961.

The Knights compete in the Perth Football League and call Medina Oval home. More information is available at kwinanaknights.com.au, and the club can be followed on Facebook and Instagram.

  • Footy Banner Information

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
