Simple to Order

Order a Single Player Banner by providing the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Chris Walker, #22, 150 Games. Our banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper that holds up through even the coldest and bitterest Melbourne winter day at the ground. Built tough - made to celebrate.

Two Players, One Banner

Celebrating two players at once? Our Two Player Banner lets you honour both on a single banner - just provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the milestone. Double the occasion, same outstanding quality.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Bring the whole squad together with a Team Banner featuring 3 to 6 players. Customise the top-line message - something like "Laverton Manor Lakes - United in the West" - and give your team a moment to run through with pride. The perfect touch for a finals campaign or end-of-season celebration.

About Laverton Manor Lakes Football Clubs

Origins and Founding

The Laverton Magpies Football Netball Club is one of Melbourne's west's most historic community football clubs, established in 1924 as a founding member of the Werribee District Football League. For their first 42 years the Magpies competed alongside clubs such as Irish National Forresters, Lara, Little River, Metro Farm and Werribee before that league disbanded in 1966. The club joined the Western Suburban Football League that same year, then moved to the Footscray District Football League in 1988.

The Manor Lakes Football Netball Club (known as the Storm) is a newer community addition, founded in 2012 in response to rapid residential growth in Wyndham Vale. When the Storm's committee first formed, the aim was to cater for juniors, but overwhelming community interest led to the formation of a senior men's competition side in time for the Western Region Football League's 2013 season.

Club History

The Laverton Magpies competed in several league structures across their century of football. After moving to the Footscray District Football League in 1988, the club finally claimed its first senior premiership in 1989, defeating Wyndhamvale by just one point in a memorable grand final. The 1990s brought further finals appearances, including a 1997 grand final appearance, and the club has continued to field seniors and reserves in the Western Football Netball League (WFNL), where both the Magpies and the Storm now compete. The Magpies also launched a senior women's team in 2018, marking a new chapter in the club's development. Both clubs share a close geographic relationship - the Laverton Magpies and Manor Lakes Storm have collaborated on junior pathways, including a joint U18s side listed on PlayHQ as the Laverton Magpies/Manor Lakes Storm U18s.

Home Grounds

The Laverton Magpies call TIV Oval at Laverton Park, Merton Street, Laverton 3028 their home ground. Laverton Park is a well-established community sporting precinct that has hosted Magpies football since the club's earliest decades. The Manor Lakes Storm are based at Howqua Reserve, Howqua Way, Manor Lakes 3030, a purpose-built sporting facility within the rapidly growing Wyndham Vale precinct.

Community and Programs

Both clubs prioritise grassroots participation across all age groups. The Laverton Magpies have run AusKick programs for young players for many years, recording over 40 registered AusKickers in 2018. The Manor Lakes Storm cater to players of all ages and skill levels, with junior teams registered across multiple WFNL age-group competitions. The Storm's 2025 program includes junior development pathways alongside senior men's and women's football and netball competitions. Together the two clubs serve a combined community stretching from Laverton's established residential streets through to the rapidly expanding estates of Manor Lakes and Wyndham Vale.

Laverton and Manor Lakes

Laverton is a suburb located approximately 20 kilometres south-west of Melbourne's CBD in the City of Hobsons Bay. It recorded a population of 4,760 at the 2021 census and is known for its industrial and defence history, having been home to RAAF Point Cook and Laverton Air Base. The area features strong multicultural communities and established residential streets bordered by industrial zones and wetlands. Manor Lakes is a residential suburb in the City of Wyndham, roughly 35 kilometres from Melbourne's CBD, part of the booming outer-western growth corridor that has seen Wyndham become one of Australia's fastest-growing local government areas during the 2010s and 2020s.

The Laverton Magpies compete in the Western Football Netball League and call TIV Oval at Laverton Park home. Visit the Laverton Magpies website or the Manor Lakes Storm website for news and match day updates.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
