Meadows Bulldogs Banners - Over a Century of Hills Footy Pride

Since 1903, the Meadows Football Club has been a cornerstone of the Adelaide Hills, and FootyBanners.com is proud to help the Bulldogs celebrate every milestone with a custom banner that honours that long history.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options and provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone (for example, Sam Doyle, #14, 100 Games). Banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper that holds up through a crisp South Australian Hills afternoon at the ground.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Bulldogs players share a milestone on the same game day, our Two Player banner celebrates them both together. Provide both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll handle the design from there.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

For clubs honouring 3 to 6 players at once, our Team Banner option covers the whole group in a single powerful design. Choose a rallying top-line message like "Bark Up Bulldogs!" and watch the squad run through in style.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium, and Large, produced on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A great display for the Bulldogs clubrooms or a supporters' wall at home.

Grand Final Banners

When the Bulldogs are playing for the flag, go all in with a Grand Final banner in 4.5m or 5.5m. Both the top and bottom text are fully customised for Meadows Football Club. Get in touch before finals for wording and design advice.

About Meadows Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Meadows Football Club has roots stretching back to the late 19th century, with the club formally joining the Hills Football Association in 1903. Set in the heart of the Adelaide Hills, the Bulldogs are one of South Australia's most historically layered community football clubs, having navigated more than a century of league changes, restructures, and regional competition.

In 1923, Meadows became a founding member of the Hills Central Football Association, an affiliation that would last until the end of the 1966 season - with the exception of one season (1945) spent back in the Hills Football Association. During the 1960s, the club spent several seasons competing in the A2 division before returning to the top grade.

Club History

Following the restructure of Hills football in 1967, Meadows joined the Hills Football League Southern Zone, winning their first HFL premiership that same year. The club shifted to Division 3 in 1972 and then Division 2 in 1979. In 1983, the Bulldogs crossed to the Southern Football League Division 2 competition, where they claimed premierships in 1984 and 1994 before returning to the Hills Football League at the conclusion of the 2000 season.

Back in the HFL, the Bulldogs enjoyed a remarkable run of success, winning the Country Division premiership in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004. The club's full list of A-Grade premierships spans nine decades: 1924 and 1949 in the Hills Central Football Association A1 grade, 1956 (A1), 1963 (A2), 1967, 1984, 1994, and the four consecutive HFL Country Division flags from 2001 to 2004. Club legend Chad Dawe is among the club's most celebrated figures, having played more than 300 senior games for the Bulldogs.

Home Ground

The Bulldogs play out of the Meadows Recreation Ground, locally known as Stringybark Park, in the town of Meadows, South Australia. The ground sits in the heart of the township on Mawson Road and serves as a focal point for the community on match days. The club currently fields A-Grade, B-Grade, and junior sides including Under-14 and Under-17 teams.

Community and Programs

The Meadows Football Club is deeply embedded in the social life of the local area. Junior development is a core part of the club's structure, with underage sides providing a pathway into the senior program. The club draws players from across the Battunga region, which encompasses the surrounding towns of Macclesfield, Echunga, Kangarilla, and Prospect Hill.

Meadows, South Australia

Meadows is a town in the Adelaide Hills, situated approximately 55 kilometres south of the Adelaide CBD within the Mount Barker council area. Originally known as Battunga - a Kaurna word meaning "the place of big trees" - the town was established circa 1850 and recorded a population of 1,126 at the 2021 Australian census. The town is well known for the annual Meadows Easter Fair, which has been running since 1997, and the Meadows Country Fair held each year on the third Sunday in October, an event that began in 1983.

The Bulldogs compete in the Hills Football League Country Division and call the Meadows Recreation Ground (Stringybark Park) home. Follow the club on Facebook for match results, news, and club updates.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
