Simple to Order

Select a Single Player Banner and enter your player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Jamie Collins, #7, 50 Games. Our permanent weatherproof inks and heavy-duty paper mean the banner holds up through even the most blustery Melbourne winter. We take care of the design - you just supply the details.

Two Players, One Banner

Got two young Mustangs hitting the same milestone? Our Two Player Banner celebrates both players on the same banner - just provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the milestone you're marking. A great way to honour best mates who've come up through the ranks together.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

For 3 to 6 players reaching the same achievement, the Team Banner is the perfect option. Choose a top-line message like "Mooroolbark Junior Mustangs - Rising Stars" and rally the whole squad under one banner. A brilliant way to bring the club's junior community together.

About Mooroolbark Mustangs Junior Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Mooroolbark Mustangs Junior Football Club operates as the junior arm of the Mooroolbark Football Club, which was established in 1966 and has competed in the Eastern Football Netball League (EFNL) ever since. The senior club was originally known as the Falcons before rebranding as the Mustangs around 2003, and the junior program has grown alongside it to become one of the most active junior football pathways in Melbourne's outer east. The junior club caters for boys and girls from Under 8s through to Under 18s, giving young players in the Mooroolbark community a structured and supportive introduction to Australian football.

Club History

The Mooroolbark junior program has consistently fed talent into the senior club and beyond, with the EFNL pathway helping players develop from Auskick-age through to senior football. The junior club's vision statement - "to be the club of choice for junior players and their families, which contributes to the wider community both on and off the field" - reflects its commitment to more than just results on the scoreboard. By 2022, the senior club celebrated its 1,000th game in the EFNL, a milestone reached in Round 2 against Beaconsfield at Heights Reserve, and the junior program has been a key part of sustaining the playing stocks that made that milestone possible.

Home Ground

The Mooroolbark Junior Football Club plays its home games at Kiloran Park, Hawthorn Road, Mooroolbark VIC 3138. The senior club is based at Heights Reserve, 13 Longfellow Avenue, Mooroolbark, where the social rooms were first established in the 1960s. Both grounds have served the club and the broader Mooroolbark community across multiple generations of players and their families.

Community and Programs

The Mooroolbark Mustangs Junior FC prioritises player welfare and development above all else, with formal policies covering coaching tenure, team selection, player welfare, safeguarding children, and working with children checks. The club welcomes boys and girls from Auskick age and runs structured programs through every age group up to Under 18s, emphasising skill development, fitness, teamwork, and fair play. The 2021 launch of the senior women's team at Mooroolbark Football Club created an additional pathway for girls progressing through the junior ranks, strengthening the club's long-term commitment to women's football in the EFNL.

Mooroolbark

Mooroolbark is a suburb in Melbourne's outer east, located approximately 37 kilometres from the CBD in the Yarra Ranges Council municipality. The suburb had an estimated resident population of 24,301 as of June 2025, with a strong family and community character that makes it well suited to a club of this kind. Mooroolbark sits between Croydon to the west and Lilydale to the east, and is surrounded by other EFNL clubs including Chirnside Park, Bayswater, and Montrose - giving the competition a genuine local rivalry feel.

The Mustangs compete in the Eastern Football Netball League and call Kiloran Park, Mooroolbark home. Visit the club website for registration details and junior news, and follow the junior Mustangs on Instagram at @mooroolbarkjfc for match day updates.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
