Oakleigh Krushers Banners - Honour Every Krusher Milestone
Whether it's a 50-game debut or a veteran celebrating 200 games in the VAFA, FootyBanners.com makes it easy to create a custom banner that captures the Krushers spirit. From South Oakleigh to wherever the Krushers play, our banners make every milestone unforgettable.
Simple to Order
Choose from a Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final Banner. For single player milestones, provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and achievement - for example, Josh Miller, #24, 150 Games. Banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper - built to last through even the coldest Melbourne winter afternoon at Scammell Reserve.
Two Players, One Banner
Two Krushers hitting the same milestone on match day? Our Two Player Banner puts them both in the spotlight. Both players must share the same milestone, and you'll need each player's name and guernsey number. A great way to make a memorable moment even bigger.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Celebrate the whole squad with a Team Banner featuring 3 to 6 players. Add a custom top-line message like "Krushers - VAFA Premiers" and let the whole club know it's a day worth remembering. Perfect for finals runs and milestone rounds alike.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Hang them at Scammell Reserve, in your games room, or in the garage - a permanent reminder of what it means to be a Krusher.
Grand Final Banners
When the Oakleigh Krushers make it to the VAFA grand final, make the moment count. Our Grand Final Banners come in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, fully customised with your top and bottom text. Contact us for design advice and we'll help bring the vision to life.
About Oakleigh Krushers
Origins and Founding
The Oakleigh Amateur Football Club was formed in 1992 through the amalgamation of the Oakleigh Sacred Heart Football Club and the Emmanuel Football Club. The newly combined club, quickly nicknamed the Krushers, joined the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) in 1991 in preparation for its first season and has competed in that competition ever since. The club plays under the VAFA banner, which governs amateur football across metropolitan Melbourne.
Club History
The Krushers have grown from a merged community club into a multi-team organisation competing in VAFA Division 1 for both their men's and women's sides. The club fields multiple grades across men's seniors, reserves, women's seniors, Under 19s, Thirds and an Over 35s team - an impressive range for a community amateur club. The club's women's team competes in VAFA Division 1 Women's, one of the higher tiers of women's football in the VAFA. The club's home ground is affectionately known as the "Krusherdome."
Home Ground
The Krushers play all home games at W.A. Scammell Reserve, on Guest Road in South Oakleigh. The reserve is a well-established community ground that hosts all grades of the club's football program. The club leases the facility and makes it available for training and match day activities across the full range of teams it fields each season.
Community and Programs
The Oakleigh Amateur Football Club's motto is built around providing a welcoming, inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels. The club emphasises values of teamwork, sportsmanship and community connection, and its range of teams - from U19s through to Over 35s - reflects a genuine commitment to retaining players across every stage of their football journey. The club also has strong junior connections through the surrounding area.
South Oakleigh
South Oakleigh is a residential suburb in the City of Glen Eira, located approximately 14 kilometres south-east of Melbourne's CBD. The suburb is bordered by Oakleigh to the north, Bentleigh East to the west and Moorabbin to the north-west. South Oakleigh is part of Melbourne's established middle-ring southern corridor, with easy access to the Frankston rail line at Oakleigh station and the Monash Freeway.
The Krushers compete in the VAFA Division 1 and call W.A. Scammell Reserve home. Visit the club website for more information, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
