Parade St Damians Banners - Old School Pride on the Football Field
Milestones and grand final days deserve a banner that does justice to the Parade St Damians tradition. FootyBanners.com creates custom banners that celebrate every player with the pride and passion this club is known for.
Simple to Order
We offer Single Player, Two Player, Team, and Grand Final banner options. To personalise your order, provide the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Paul Hughes, #5, 200 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner is made to last through a cold Melbourne winter morning without missing a beat.
Two Players, One Banner
When two players share a milestone, a Two Player Banner is the perfect way to honour them both side by side. Provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the shared milestone for a quality keepsake they will both be proud to display.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Feature 3 to 6 players on a Team Banner and give the whole squad a run-through that captures the spirit of the club. A top-line message like "Go Parade St Damians!" or a personalised team dedication makes game day truly memorable.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Our Wall Keepsake Banners are available in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks built to last for years. A Parade St Damians keepsake banner looks fantastic in the clubrooms, the garage, or the family games room.
Grand Final Banners
Make the Parade St Damians grand final entrance one to remember with a 4.5m or 5.5m banner featuring fully customised top and bottom text. Contact us and our team will help you design something the whole club will love.
About Parade St Damians
Origins and Founding
The Parade St Damians Junior Football Club, known as the Saints, was established in 1979 as a non-denominational junior football club in Melbourne's northern suburbs. Named in connection with Parade College and St Damian's College in Bundoora, the club was founded with 85 players and a mission to provide a supportive, family-friendly sporting environment for young footballers. In 1981, the club transferred from the Preston District Junior Football Association to the Doncaster and Districts Junior Football League (DDFL), which was recognised as the largest junior football league in Australia during its peak years in 1985 and 1986. The club later became part of the Yarra Junior Football League (Yarra JFL), the competition it competes in today.
Club History
Since its foundation in 1979, the Parade St Damians JFC has accumulated 27 League Best and Fairest Awards and fielded state-level representative sides. By 1986, the club had grown to 322 registered players, the highest of any club in the DDFL at that time. The 2018 season marked the club's 40th year of competition, a milestone that prompted a retrospective celebration of its long history in northern Melbourne junior football. The club has produced numerous AFL and AFLW players over its history. Notable alumni include Leigh Montagna (St Kilda), Jarrod Molloy (Fitzroy/Brisbane Lions/Collingwood), Brad Boyd (Fitzroy/Brisbane Lions), Adam Pattison (Richmond/St Kilda/Hawthorn), Glen Sandford (Collingwood), Patrick Veszpremi (Sydney Swans), and Louise Stephenson (Western Bulldogs AFLW).
Home Ground
The Parade St Damians Junior Football Club is based in Bundoora in Melbourne's northern suburbs. The club operates from its home ground in the Bundoora and Diamond Creek Road corridor, close to both Parade College and the St Damian's College precinct. The ground hosts both training and match days for the club's boys' and girls' teams across age groups from under-8 to under-17.
Community and Programs
Parade St Damians runs a comprehensive junior football program for boys and girls aged 7 to 17, competing in the Yarra Junior Football League. The club also operates two Auskick centres for children from kindergarten through to Grade 6, held on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. With a focus on family involvement and inclusivity, the Saints have built a community-centred culture consistent with the collegiate traditions of both founding schools. The club's first registered female player joined as early as 1985, well ahead of broader women's football programs in Australia.
Bundoora
Bundoora is a suburb in Melbourne's outer northern corridor, approximately 15 kilometres north of the CBD in the City of Whittlesea and City of Banyule. It recorded a population of approximately 30,000 at the 2021 census and is home to La Trobe University's main Bundoora campus, RMIT Bundoora campus, and several major secondary colleges including Parade College. The suburb has a mix of established housing and academic precincts, with strong community sporting traditions.
The Parade Saints compete in the Yarra Junior Football League. For more information, visit the Parade St Damians JFC website, follow the club on Facebook, or find them on Instagram.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
